parky i've said it before and its elsewhere in this thread the voting may well be done in december. back in the early 90s before the big internet revolution at least they defo voted in december, as the asst. secretary had to make sure all the players voted and in time. i was gobsmacked when he told me, as i'd had a meeting with him and the slips were on hid desk. he took a call about it and then explained to me.Parks lives wrote:You can't blame Reina missing out as unlucky.
He missed out because of the howlers he's been producing lately.

No I can admit during the games around when we played United and Aresnal he was dodgy with his handling espcially coming out for crosses be it set pieces or not.
But 16 clean sheets
James had made some errors this season Parky lets not forget.
I have no problem saying Friedel and James have been the top 2 keepers, both have been fantastic but Reina has kept up with them and the others since he has joined us.
If I get a chance I'll check out the stats for those 3 keepers, would be interesting to know the shots saved, clean sheets etc etc.
One things for sure, Reina's distrubution is beyond anyone else.
And like I said earlier and Frank just mentioned, voting was done back December/January. Up until Xmas Reina along with Masch and the Kid have been are most consistent players by far all season.

Re: PFA Awards 2008
which is why i wonder how the fack gerrard got anywhere near it. not so sure about masch tbh, he's done well, but this is like us all voting, the tabloid friends tend to get more votes (we'd give less deliberately), see gerrard, so flams would have been ahead of masch, and imho rightly so been far more influential on a side which was challenging for the title for most of the season unlike liverp0-0l players

Gerrard has had one bad month frankie
He was on fire at the start of the season, then broke his toe and struggled when he came back for a month or so. Lately the gerrard torres show has been dazzling the league. he has had a better season than mascha IMO and between him and cesc is a toss of a coin, but they have it right with both in
I think VDS deserved the keeper award. He has been keeping united in the title race for the past month with his MOTM performances. But if the voting was done earlier in the season then obviously he wasn't standing out. James has produced as many clangers as other keepers
