so you don't think this is why midtable teams come to holland and buy all your midfielders for cheaper then? At least at the top they used to buy only the best, now they buy anyone decent.

All the english ones are overpriced due to the prices paid by manu and chelsea. Even if we look at averagely priced players like 6M for Smith to newcastle, (a value created by manu), you'd get 10 times as good a dutch midfielder for that, so that is why the midtable teams are not buying english players. All created by manu and chelsea.

The prices of English players were inflated when Chelsea were playing 11 foreigners (mostly Italians wasn't it) under Ken Bates. English players have been too expensive for years and you've got to look a long way back for the causes.

I can actually see Ballack scoring tonight, his confidence is sky high after the weekend and with no Lampard he would be playing in his favoured role, he will score from a corner before he scores from open play tonight, so that’s 2 goals I expect him to score today.

Hopefully he wouldn’t be giving Kuyt, those looks again.

Like I've said earlier, this match is not exactly a match for midfielders to shine, at least the attacking ones. Small congested pitch, two physical and defensively strong sides, and Chelsea only needing a 0-0 to go through.

Hope it will be an interesting match at least
