That Bayern Munich are astonishingly overrated and the UEFA Cup is the right level for them?

Germany - Russia - two illustrations of how times have changed

    1945 - One Deutschlander worth 10 Soviets
The Battle of the Seelow Heights was one of the last pitched battles of World War II. Fought over four days from April 16 until April 19, 1945, it required a commitment of almost one million Red Army troops and more than 20,000 tanks and artillery pieces were in action to break through the "Gates to Berlin" which was defended by about 100,000 German soldiers and 1,200 tanks and guns

2008 - Germany rely on imports from Poland, Italy and France and still can't beat the Russians
    Zenit Peterburg 5 - 1 Bayern Munich

They just did a poll on the opinions of Dutchmen on Germany. 90% (!) say WW2 does not influence their opinion on Germany negatively (even most older people changed their mind).

Germans hate Dutchies more than we do them. True story. About time the Germans mature too.

This is just my viewpoint from a neutral distant location (England) based on vague impressions over the years. This isn't any one single incident just an impression I have got.

The Dutch seem to me to have a more jovial rivalry with the Germans but this is tinged with a undercurrent of respect or fear. The Germans think the Dutch are arrogant patronising c**ts.
