There have been 8 transfers over £30M, but only 1 in the last 6 years, Shevchenko, which was a big mistake.

I think Dani Alves will go and someone will pay crazy money for him. And if Valencia's financial woes are true, then probably David Villa could find himself in a big money transfer.

If this is true, i think it could potentially reduce the value - clubs will use the bait of money as an incentive - such as more upfront as opposed to installments for example.

£28 million but yeah its that same kind of deal. Ridiculous amount of money but you're guarented quality for around 10 years and if they ever do move on you will get a big transfer fee.

I think no one will pay what we ask for him so he will probably stay.
Then again one can never be sure of the market fever. I though the same about Anderson and Pepe and there was a club crazy enough to pay what we've asked for them.
