Your transfer wishlist : Summer 2010 Empty Your transfer wishlist : Summer 2010

Post by bluenine Tue May 04, 2010 12:52 pm

I know its a bit early, as most of the action will happen post the WC.... but what is your realistic wishlist for this summer - who do you think your club will go for, and who will they sell?

    For Internazionale:

IN: Vargas, Kolarov, Bonucci, Mutu/Vucinic, Coutinho

Coutinho is already in, & Kolarov almost a done deal. I would like Inter to get Vargas as well, he could be awesome as a RW to replace Quaresma. Mutu/Vucinic could be good as Balotelli replacements. Bonucci is a good choice as a Matrix replacement as he is "academy trained", and that will be useful if we sell Balotelli... otherwise we can always just recall Burdisso as a Matrix replacement.

OUT: Balotelli, Quaresma, Arnautovic, Materazzi, Rivas, Obinna, Mancini, Suazo, Jimenez, Burdisso...

Balotelli, obvious reasons, hopefully he can fund most of our spend this summer. Quaresma, its clearly not working out. Arnautovic, Mou will never play him. And Materazzi & Toldo, its time to retire.
The last 6 are out on loan anyways, we should sell them while they still have any market value - just don't see any of them being Inter quality, except perhaps Burdisso.

Maybe its also time we retire Orlandoni & get either Alfonso or Belec to replace him as 3rd choice gk

Very nice names in the "IN" field, I pretty much agree.

I'm not sure about wanting Mutu/Vucinic - they're top class, but an irrational part of me still badly wants Balotelli to succeed at Inter.

I'd like to bring in a top class CM, even if I couldn't easily suggest names - I'm somewhat not 100% fond of the whole Motta-Stanks-Muntari-Mariga-Chivu stack for partnering Cambiasso.

Don't want Burdisso back, he's quite good but he's too random error prone to be a reliable squad player with sparse playing time.

And I know it's going to be time for Matrix and Toldo to hang the boots, but please not yet, I'd want them to be part of the squad forever.
It's a romantic thing, bar Zanetti they're our only link between the dark and bright times of Moratti's era.
And also they're Azzurri heroes, god knows how long it will be before we have another influential italian in the squad.
(that's also why I'm so attached to dickhead Mario)

    out:

klose (to good for the bench, could improve any bundesliga side)
    lell
    görlitz

    in:

    toni kroos
breno (just as backup, dont think bayern will buy an defender, they will wait for hummels, in 1-2 seasons he is ours)
neuer (maybe not this season, but then next)

in 2-3 years bayern could look like this:

    ------neuer
    lahm-badstuber-hummels-contento
    -----kedhira-schweini
    --------kroos
    robben-müller--ribery

    Very Happy

Apart from the first game when he scored a cracking long range goal he has been pretty sh!t. Last year he got off to a promising start; but his passing was always questionable particularly against good teams that pressure a lot. I wouldn't mind keeping him in the squad because in certain situations he could be useful but he is already complaining about not being in the XI so if someone wants to take him I'm happy to see him go.

I guess we only disagree on Balotelli... dude, I have been a big supporter of this kid (as everyone here knows), but in the last month or so he has crossed the line... I didn't like the fact that Balotelli almost ruined the celebration for that great 1st leg win over Barcelona, on what probably was Inter's finest moment in over a decade.

We should at least loan him out, if not just get rid of him. Bonucci & Santon could be our "influential italians" of the future...

Yeah, Blue, we're quite polarized on the Mario/Wario issue. =)

I think we've different views on Santon aswell, to me he's good but I'm not sure he's going to be top class. I see him more like a good honest young professional than a future star.

We'll see, back on topic: are you ok with our current central midfield rooster? I think there's still much room for improvement but I can't decide who could improve it, apart from the obvious Fabregas/De Rossi/Essien phantasies

Let me put it this way... I am ok if we play 4231, but I am not ok if we play 4312

The IN/OUT list that i suggested was assuming a 4231 formation. We still need a back up for Sneijder, maybe Coutinho could scale up to be his understudy. Or Pandev/Mutu could play that role on emergencies. But if we play 4231, I am ok with the midfield partners for Cambiasso that we have (Stank, Zanetti, Motta, Mariga, & Muntari) - thats one of the few places we are well covered in... however, when we play 3 of then in a 4312 formation, they start looking a bit dull & lacking creativity.

Fabregas/Hamsik could be useful, but we don't need De Rossi/Essien IMO.

How about Montolivo? He could be useful in a pirlo-isque role deep beside Cambiasso, and also provide us with a back up for Sneijder! He won't come cheap, but might be worth it.

We can give Balotelli, Suazo, Burdisso, Rivas, & Quaresma to Fiorentina in return for Vargas, Mutu & Montolivo... I say we make Fiorentina our feeder club instead of Roma Razz

    In: Parejo,Cesc/Martinez,Silva, Lb*, Canales**

*Preferably somebody who is decent defensive but cheap.

**Would like for VDV to stay but just like with Sneijder/Robben I don't think it would be smart to demand that somebody of this quality should be on the bench. If he does leave then

Negredo should stay at Sevilla for another year because it would end in too many strikers(Ronaldo/Higuain/Benzema/Negredo).

    Out: Gago,Lass/Diarra, Metzelder, Drenthe/Dudek,

Gago is slightly better at passing but except for that he has no qualities really. Lass at least is strong and fast and Diarra is also strong, a threat at set pieces.

    ok
Inter definitely needs somebody who can distribute it from central midfield. Ledesma wouldn't be bad plus not too expensive. Hamsik/Banega/Fernandes/Montolivo would also be good choices. This should be Inter's priority nr.1 this summer. Im surprised Inter made it this far in Cl with such an uncreative team allthough getting Pandev was a good move.

If Inter get Vargas as well they would really be a scary team. Only problem with him would be that Inter would be tied to the 4-2-3-1 formation and therefore not quite as flexible tactically.

Yeh Milan should change their formation to fit Beckham in Doh

Milan still the biggest threat to Inter lrd?

I said it'd be Milan or Inter we'll see if i was right in a few weeks. Milan should appreciate what a player offers. You cant play a standard RM as a forward and expect him to perform well. As it was they cocked up and as we have seen they've been woeful since Beckham's injury.

If you bring in Kolarov and sell Balotelli, you'll have like no youth products in the first team!
bluenine is gonna cry. We have Santon and Destro, and then Khrin, Obi, Esposito...
and then Bonucci if we buy him back

Cigarini, yeah, it could be nice in nerazzurro.

So far, Montolivo is my preferred name. He's matured and could turn out very well for us.

I'm for bringin' Kolarov in, Zanetti and Chivu are valuable as jolly, if we have a natural left back they'd be free to slot in where there's need.

Sure this mean very few space for Santon, maybe we should loan him to a good mid table team. And in the end he should be a right back, there's no much room for him as long as Maicon stays here.

Though if a dream signing like Vargas materializes, maybe Kolarov is a luxury, as we'd have one more makeshift left back in the team.

And oh please sell Muuuuuntari cheers
