Best Signing: Still overpaid for him but Pepe, I thought, was the most consistently good. He had some injury problems but he was exceptionally good on the pitch.

Biggest Disappointment: Christoph Metzelder - I thought Pedja signing him on a free was great value and he would maybe push Cannavaro for a place in the XI but he was horrible when he played and injured the rest (most) of the time.

Unluckiest Player: Roberto Soldado - in the sense that he came back with the promise that he would be in Schuster's first team plans only to find out Schuster didn't count on him at all.

Got to agree with that, but for me Ronaldinho pushes him close...after all, this was supposed to be the season he'd be back to his best after having a full summer off. Instead he went off into an even steeper downward spiral

Most Improved Player: A lot of our players have really improved under Keegan, but Jose Enrique is coming on every week at the moment, and he in particular looks a much better player now than he did at the start of the season.

Best Signing: Habib Beye

Biggest Disappointment: Sam Allardyce obviously fell flat, showed his limitations as a manager - he is the most clueless manager we have had in my sixteen or so years of supporting the club. But even at the start of the season, I'd have happily taken Keegan over him, so his failure and departure hasn't been that disappointing. Joey Barton is surprisingly bad - I knew he would be unlikeable off the pitch, but I didn't think he'd be so unlikeable on it, and so bad at football. David Rozehnal has disappointed in that he looked a really talented player early in the season, but things didn't work out.

Best Team Player: Habib Beye

Unluckiest Player: I think Martins should have played in more games this season, should be the first name on the teamsheet. Charles N'Zogbia has played a lot of the season out of position.
