Rosenberg needs a class partner, and we now have the money to buy one.

It's a good thing that Gekas in particular wasn't looking too clinical today! Well done though, and as you say the team showed a bit more sense with their approach to the game today.

It's a shame that Leverkusen won't be in the UEFA cup as well, but well done in particular to Wolfsburg, they finished the season in fine style.

Wolfsburg will now invest even more in their squad, VW will now be willing to pump even more cash into the club. Expect them to rival Bayern's expenses this summer on the transfer market. Magath is thinking big, and wants to establish the club in the top 5, and he may be able to pull it off. I'm not too worried about them in the UEFA Cup next season, they should have enough quality to do well.

It remains to be seen how HSV will do with a new manager, and without VDV, who most likely will leave them this summer. How important he is for the club could be seen again today. Still, not too worried about them in the UEFA Cup either. They need to replace some players in their squad, but should have enough quality to prevail also.

Stuttgart still have the chance to qualify for the UEFA Cup through the intertoto cup. I just hope that Hertha will not sneak their way in through the fair play route! Please DFL, let Leverkusen play instead, for the sake of the league!

A pity to see Nürnberg go down, they had more than enough quality to stay up. They should have never sacked Hans Meyer, and they now pay the price. Expect most of their better players to leave the club now.

Yeah, next season will be excellent. Already the highest average attendances in Europe, which will even be higher next season with Köln and Gladbach back, two big clubs with big stadia. Not to forget about the tradition, and another additional (firece) derby between Köln and Gladbach.

    Schalke vs. Dortmund
    Werder vs. Hamburg
    Stuttgart vs. Karlsruhe
    Gladbach vs. Köln
    Leverkusen vs. Köln
    etc.

Just a pity that Nürnberg went down. Hopefully, 1860 München will be back in near future, the best Munich club... Wink

They (1860 München) are once again in chaos. No, they are nowhere near the promotion places now unfortunately. Their board / management ist the problem, they simply had too many incompetent (or corrupt) people running (or rather ruining) the club in the last few years.

Nürnberg now with two negative records. The only club that got relegated after winning the Bundesliga (1968/69), and the only club that got relegated after winning the Pokal (2007/08 ).

Nope, definitely not German! I moved home from university last summer, and having better access to the internet and digital tv I thought I'd start watching another league. Aside from a few teams I don't enjoy watching English football that much, and I watched a bit of Spanish and Italian football already so I thought I'd watch a new league that I hadn't followed before.

I prefer the German style of football more than say French or Portuguese, I can understand a bit of the language which makes it a bit easier to follow, and I like the mentality and atmosphere of the league (lots of attacking football). Plus there are lots of good German posters on here to discuss the football with!

But only qualify for the UEFA Cup if you intend to do well, and take the competition seriously! If you don't, I'd rather see you bottle the qualification.

I would like to see you there though, Stuttgart has to play in Europe, but I hope that you have the right attitude.

And please please please please please dear football god, no Hertha in Europe! Please!

I used to love watching Serie A. Probably wouldn't impress you too much to hear that I mostly followed Lazio, but that was back in the day of Signori and co., in the mid-90s when they played great attacking football. Aside from going to Arsenal matches I followed Italian football more than English football then. I just can't get into Serie A football any more. I watch the occasional game, but I just don't enjoy it as much as I did.

Wolfsburg, Karlsruhe and probably Cottbus are the surprise teams of the season. Hope that Karlsruhe manage to stay up, a great club with great tradition.

I seriously hope that Gladbach and Köln manage to establish themselves in the 1. Bundesliga also. If you look at the table, you'll see that this has gotten more difficult these days. Two of the three newcomers have been relegated again. It is a very even and competitive league.

Maybe it's time to have 20 teams in the first and second Bundesliga.
