Re: New Chelsea Manager
I think it'll be Rijkaard. But I want it to be Sven or Mourinho.

F Rijkaard 2/1 Mourinho J 16/1 D Deschamps 33/1
M Laudrup 7/2 C Ancelotti 25/1 H Redknapp 33/1
G Hiddink 4/1 O Hitzfeld 25/1 R Benitez 33/1
Erikkson, S 6/1 M Hughes 25/1 J Klinnsmann 33/1
M Lippi 12/1 M Van Basten 33/1 G Houllier 33/1
L Scolari 12/1 S Bilic 33/1 B Schuster 40/1
G Zola 14/1 D Advocaat 33/1 C Ranieri 50/1
I really think it could be Sven but i hope not. I think first choice will be Hiddink bt it will depend on if he will leave Russia. I think they will go for a big name who is proven, so i dont think it will be Laudrup or Zola.

They want him indeed, still haven't finalized his new Russia contract.
Hiddink has made clear on several occasions he doesn't want to manage (in) England because of the English press...

I doubt Roman would risk taking the Russian coach away from russia anywayAxeslammer wrote:Sgoater1 wrote:I think first choice will be Hiddink bt it will depend on if he will leave Russia.

Knowing Roman, he'll have half a dozen managers lined up to take the Russia job.

I have a feeling it well could be Sven, if not him then Rijkaard(though he really needs a break from the game IMO).

Re: New Chelsea Manager
Laudrup looks favourite considering how he quit a team who had a pretty good season overall just a few weeks ago. A friend of mine who works for bet365 said they closed the betting for awhile to see if there was any information anywhere after a lot of money was placed on him.

Re: New Chelsea Manager
There were indeed strong rumours linking him to the job around March (I think), but it would be an odd appointment considering his relative lack of experience. Perhaps the Danish connection with Arnesen is at work, though I'm just doing some tabloid-style deduction there.

Has to be Rikard, I mean Abrahamovich knows Dick and Gus got succes. So obviously he wants a Dutch coach at Chelsea as well!! Makes sense!

Re: New Chelsea Manager
Hiddink's agent with an emphatic no:
http://football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_3611139,00.html
With Sven off to Mexico, that leaves Mancini, Scolari, and Rijkaard as feasible alternatives. And perhaps Lippi too.

Well they found it wasn't feasible, so I think it's back to the list of Scolari, Hughes, and Mancini.

Not surprised to see Bilic's name now come up.
Laudrup, Bilic, Hughes, Deschamps, Mancini guess Scolari also though doubt it. Looks like it's one of these.
Wow that would be something.
