Angola, coming off of their honourable display at this summer's World Cup, their first appearance at the world's biggest stage, has now been chosen to host the 2010 African Cup of Nations.

The Angolans living in Lisbon also. So this WC we were both supporting for Portugal and Angola simultaneous, it was fun.

The Brasileiros in Lisbon also supported very much Portugal (after they big love Brazil, of course!!!), as they are always ready for party!!!!

We had lots of windows with both flags!

It depends on who you speak to really. Some Angolans like Portugal and support the team during compititions like the Euro.

Others don't care for Portugal, but do like Brazil very much. I think they see in Brazil something they'd like for themselves: a former colony that doesn't need Portugal's help in any shape or form.

I mean, there are also Portuguese that aren't fond of Angola of course. So while it's relative, I would say there is a good feeling between both nations' people. I know many watched games together and cheered for each other's country in bars throughout Portugal this summer.

I know I meet Angolans here in Canada during the World Cup and was quite happy to see them, wished them well and they did the same with me...

The big question would be, in Luanda, what is their 2nd favourite football nation: Portugal or Brazil. They are completely crazy for Brazil!
