Domination it may not have been, but that was a mightily impressive performance. Scolari once again puts out a side that is devoid of any ideas when it really matters, luckily for Portugal they've twice come against the one side that can't win on penalties.

i saw a german team who packed the midfield to strangle the more talented portugal..which..if you look at the result worked fine.

if portugal however..who were not at their best..had not of slept for 20 minutes and then had taken their chances they would have still won against a german side who were at their best and needed a lucky unfair goal to win the game.

the german defense is TERRIBLE and will cost you dear...no matter how much diving..faining injury or pushing your team does.

by the way...even my german newspaper said portugal dominated for long periods...you see...we are not anti-german...you are just far too 'pro-german'.

yeah and we packed the midfield with 2 defensive players, the same system portugal has played, but we played it better, and this for the first time, we never played this system before, there you can see how great our players are, system change in the tournament, how many nations could handle this?

The referee handed them the second half - Ballack's goal was a foul and at 3-1 the ref gave everything to Germany every time Portugal built up some momentum.

but the fact that portugal played badly...but still could have won..is not something you can deny..

As soon as the second goal went in I knew Germany would win. All they had to do was wait for a free kick. Four years ago Greece wins the Euro in Portugal with these tactics, so you would think they would have learnt how to defend a set-piece. Nope.

Numerous mistakes - I see it all the time in the CL. If the big team is under pressure (even from a team as clueless as Portugal were last night), all they have to do is look at the ref and he gives them a free kick. Germany got a lot of protection from their 12th man last night.
