John Terry's style of captaincy has already made a big impression on new signing Michael Ballack.
The German World Cup captain has revealed that Terry wasted no time in welcoming him to the squad as soon as he touched down in Los Angeles last week.
Even before Ballack arrived at the team hotel, the Chelsea captain had already been on the phone.
Ballack said: "John must have got the number of the driver who picked me up from the airport and rang it as soon as I was in the car. I thought that was a great gesture from him, it made me feel very welcome straight away."
