There is no realistic chance of the latter happening imo. Whether they show Boro or not depends on how highly they value their ratings.

There's silverware, then there's 3rd rate silverware. It's like going after a fox(the FA Cup) and ending up with the foxes ugly cousin, you still get your end away, but it's not worth blowing your trumpet over. I'd rather this competition just didn't exist tbh.

You're absolutely right, trouble is you're never going to get the fox so your choice is between the ugly cousin or nothing at all.

A team that beat you 4-1 at your place and a team that finished higher than you in the league, a team that is by all accounts better than you. Its not impossible for a team of their level, for a team of your level, it quite clearly is.

The Carling Cup is a great route into Europe and one that i've never understood quite why its so undervalued, especially with the dominance of the Big 4 in the Premiership/CL and the FA cup being so devalued, effectively to almost the same level as the Carling Cup.

But then Cardiff reached the final, and in a one off game anything can happen. We beat teams that finished ahead of us last season.

Macclesfield at home...A nice Wednesday night trip to Upton Park. Hopefully get further than the QF this year.
