Bet you they come up with some sad excuse like La Paz being a few feet above sea level or something like that.

Botero is the dogs bollox, hell of a player. Who does he play for? edit: Correcaminos UFC

Impossible, they are the best team in the world...at least according to the latin fanatics on this board. Biggrin

Callidad talks the biggest load of balls you'll ever see. Every Argie squad has a mish mash of players a few outrageously shite ones, and 2-3 special ones, and they are the best team around...get outta here.

Losing to Bolivia in La Paz is hardly a disgrace, well maybe losing 5-1 is pretty bad. They destroyed Paraguay 4-0 only the other day.

who cares. Uruguay drew 2-2 overthere , even Peru managed to get away with just a 3-0 loss; Diego's boys are 5-1 down & could have been more

    Paraguay 4-0???

I do tend to agree with you with all that but England still call up Beckham, so we can't really criticise them over Veron.

well I don't know about that, how many of the Uruguayans play in Europe for top sides challenging on several fronts? At what stage of the season did they play there?

I would agree that perhaps the preparation could be criticised, did Argentina play a friendly at the weekend when they should have been acclimatising?
