Losing to Bolivia in La Paz is hardly a disgrace, well maybe losing 5-1 is pretty bad. They destroyed Paraguay 4-0 only the other day.

well I don't know about that, how many of the Uruguayans play in Europe for top sides challenging on several fronts? At what stage of the season did they play there?

I would agree that perhaps the preparation could be criticised, did Argentina play a friendly at the weekend when they should have been acclimatising?

Argentina played Paraguay at home, they won 4-0, it was a qualification match.

Uruguay played there in October. I don't recall Argentina getting trashed there on previous occasions, I mean losing is one thing, get trashed another thing.

By the way when the Uruguayans drew in La Paz they had played away v Argentina 3 days before.
