That's the way things are when selecting the teams for FIFA World Cup awarding a whole bunch of spots to European shite. Biggrin <Ale>

I'm sure Uruguay would've brought a lot to the group stages of the World Cup. Hell, they might even have got far enough to be outclassed in the first knockout stage ok

HUGE game about to begin in CONCACAF between Costa Rica-México. IF Honduras and USA hold serve, and Costa Rica do the same against the Mexicans, then there's the possibility of Argentina playing México in the playoffs FFS! lol!

Seven or eight ABSOLUTELY AWFUL European teams going to the European playoffs whilst México play Argentina for a ticket, and then there's Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Perú not going at all. FFS! FIFA must only give Europe 8-9 spots at most. So much European SHITE in WC's FFS!

Nobody forced the Argies to get spanked 1-6 in Bolivia Puro. If they really fail to qualify, which they won't IMHO, they have nobody to blame but themselves (and Maradona).

Looks like Aguirre is starting to bring out the best of Giovani dos Santos. He's played almost exclusively for his national team rather than club team over the past few months, and last night against Costa Rica he got a goal and 2 assists:

True, but he has been playing in Portuguese league for several seasons now (not that i am in favor of naturalized players). He was not someone "signed" to play right now.

    1-1 FT

Totally undeserved result. I think Denmark must have some kind of voodoo against us. In Portugal they had a crazy win. Today we must have broken the record of shots and still the first time they have a shot...goal.
We were all over them for long periods of the game and still they get away with a draw.

We are out IMO so it will be between Sweden and Hungary for the best second race. Congratz Denmark.
Thanks and you really should have won because I don't think we played all that well but don't think the result is that unfair. Bendtner raped Portugal's defence on that goal. He came alive like he did in the first game against Portugal. Also Simao should be shot for missing such a huge chance.

I don't mind it being a draw because I would much much rather have Portugal then Sweden. Those lucky c**ts had unbelievable luck last night getting a goal through a goal ball that the defender misses Doh And then when Ibra was alone with the goalie he comes rushing out and gets the ball but punches it against Ibra who scores with his stomach.

Europe really shouldn't have that many places in the world cup. Hungary in second place and Slovakia in first. Laugh

I think the solution Puro is proposing is to just cut out South American WC qualification altogether. Clearly an almost 50% chance to qualify is too much of an insult to these great teams like Paraguay and Ecuador who do such a great job of hammering the other non south american teams every four years.

Give Peru a bye into the finals and the rest of the world won't know what has hit them

With regards to Tunisia it's irrelevant....we're miles better than them but yet again the player's ego's get in the way. We should just play the guys who represented us in the Olympics.

Bit out of shape this season, is brilliant with taking out a man. A big game player and easily outplayed the big strikers of the eredivisie like Suarez for example. He also played great against Messi. He is really strong but he reeeally needs to work on his footballing skills. He is mistake prone when passing goes and gets schooled easily when going 2 to 1.

Having said that, he is very popular with the Sparta fans and I do think his potential could lead him to become a starter at a EPL club.

I thought he was a regular for Nigeria last games...

He rotates with Shittu and Sam Sodje normally at the back..... He seems to me as the brawler type centre back. He is very good in the air and pretty quick but at times can be caught out of position.

He's looked ok from what I've seen of him at the moment. At least he puts in 100% unlike the rest of the team..

Doesn't look like well be qualifying for the World Cup at this rate...

If they hadn't let those Slovaks get away they could still have a very good team. It was always going to be hard to replace Nedved, Koller, Smicer, Galasek, Poborsky...but at least they are still beating San Marino. They'll be back.

I think everyone knew deep down that 2004 was there only real chance. It was the end for Poborsky, Nedved, and Galasek in the midfield, Koller was pretty much past it and Baros was never going to play like that again in his life. Rosicky's a permanant sicknote as well.

What a wonderful side that was. They played the best football without a doubt. They still looked strong in 2006 but by 2008 it was clear they were getting weaker. Allthough that is what you would expect from a smaller football nation. They will prob bounce back.
