    Saturday, 20 September 2008
    Blackburn v Fulham, 15:00
    Bolton v Arsenal, 17:30
    Liverpool v Stoke, 15:00
    Sunderland v Middlesbrough, 12:45
    West Ham v Newcastle, 15:00

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Sunday, 21 September 2008
    Chelsea v Man Utd, 14:00
    Hull v Everton, 15:00
    Man City v Portsmouth, 15:00
    Tottenham v Wigan, 15:00
West Brom v Aston Villa, 12:00

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obviously a big chance for Arsenal and Liverpool to take advantage of Chelsea or United dropping points, maybe even both. Stoke proved they are no mugs against Everton but I think away from home they wont be quite as effective, I expect our 100% home record to continue but only if Benitez gets the selection right.

Sunderland-Boro will be a great chance for the home side to get their season up and running after a dissapointing start, Boro have been unlucky not to have more points on the board and Sunderland will have to perform a lot better to win this one.

Can the shambles that is Newcaslte United gain any respect back this week? the Hammers as usual are having a pretty inconsistant start to the season but at home they'll be difficult to beat.

West Brom-Villa - another derby, another big test for the Villa boys trying to break into the top 4.

At last, the return of the early kick off on Sky cheers hasn't been one since the opening day of the season I believe.

This will be a tough game for Villa, having had away trips to Spurs on Monday and Bulgaria on Thursday, another away trip to a bitter local derby is a horrible fixture to get. Hopefully Young and Carew will be back, and that the players will be up for it. Pretty lacklustre against Litex, by all accounts.

    Arbeloa----------Carragher-------------Hyypia---------Dossena

    Babel-------------Gerrard---------------Alonso-----------Riera

    ------------------Keane---------------Torres------------------

Would be nice to see Degan play or see if he' still alive. But Arbeloa should start otherwise.

I said in the Liverpool thread that I would love to see Agger back but this game is tailor made for Hypia's strengths and to combat Deadly Delap's decapitating throw-ins.

Also Kuyt needs to finally recharge his batteries and this game plys the game againist Crewe is the perfect time likewise Mascherano. They can be on the bench if need be.

The main thing for me is that we treat the match with the right intensity. If we turn up and expect them to roll over then we might have a real battle on our hands.

Hopefully we don't tailor our team to cope with Stoke besides the inclusion of Hypia.

Looking for a ruthless (Derby last season) display, fingers corssed.

Wasn't the Liverpool-Man U game an early kick off. Remember missing the second half to get to Craven Cottage. So unlike you I don't like them.

    Hmmmm...well its certainly different.

Looks like we've gone back to having Wheater at right back too, Hoyte on the bench.

Dont know what he's trying with Johnson..Aliadiere up front with Mido..Jinky right wing? Jinky just behind Mido? Or Downing behind Mido and Jinky on the left?

    HE MIGHT TRY THEM ALL!

Fair enough putting Alves on the bench..no goals from open play yet, Mido on form..might think Alves can have some impact from the bench today.

Not really this season..he was at the end of last season but he's had a slow start this season with regards to actually scoring. Playing well but just hasnt finished off enough chances.

Did Mido actually make it in Holland though? Someone like Ibrahimovic is a good example of a player acually makingit in a new league.

I heard Mido had a lot of off the field problems despite his undoubted talent and in the end Roma took a chance on him.
