    Saturday, 10 September 2011
    Arsenal v Swansea, 15:00
    Everton v Aston Villa, 15:00
    Man City v Wigan, 15:00
    Stoke v Liverpool, 15:00
    Sunderland v Chelsea, 15:00
    Wolverhampton v Tottenham, 15:00
    Bolton v Man Utd, 17:30

    Sunday, 11 September 2011
    Norwich v West Brom, 13:30
    Fulham v Blackburn, 16:00

    Monday, 12 September 2011
    QPR v Newcastle, 20:00

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

Not the greatest set of fixtures and after an International break I expect there'll be a few scrappy games but I also expect a few slip ups as well.

Saturday is where the main action is for once; Arsenal surely have to put on a performance to appease the fans; anything but a comfortable victory wont do.

City have a good chance to add to their goal difference that Arsenal allowed United to rape Grr

Liverpool have the dreaded Stoke away fixture right after an international break but for once I'm feeling confident we can go there and win.

I think Chelsea or Spurs will slip up with United nicking a late winner at the Reebok.

    Sunday's football Doh

    But football cheers

No they have not - all their games have been televised thus far I think.

Personally I like to play at 3 pm, you can do your business and then sit back and see what everyone else does. It's amazing not being in the Europa League - playing on Sundays and Mondays is absolutely dreadful <Ale>

Our match should be, if nothing, pretty interesting - new players, desparate need to bounce back and also our pretty poor record in the recent years vs newly promoted clubs at home (Stoke, Hull) Erm

    Expected line-up

    Szczny

Bac - Koscielny - Mertesacker -SantosGibbs
    Ramsey - Frimpong - Arteta

Walcott -VanP - Arshavin (Benayoun last 20 mins).

Wigan at home for us, we should win but you never know in this league and Wigan have a pretty decent record against us. Nasri should make his home debut despite a hand injury but Richards is doubtful after getting injured with England. I hope we will keep up our attacking ways and hopefully we can get the 3 points to keep up our prefect start to the season.

I expect us to line up like this tomorrow:

    -------------------Reina------------------------

    --Johnson-------Carragher--------Agger-------------Enrique--------

    -------------------Lucas--------Adam----------------------------

    -------Henderson-----------Suarez----------------Downing-----------

    ----------------------------Carroll-------------------------------

Subs: Doni, Skrtel, Flanagan, Kuyt, Bellamy, Spearing, Maxi

Gerrard has been in all the training pictures and looks like he's nearly up to fitness but think he'll be brought back into the squad for Spurs. Adam looks set to feature after missing the Scotland game in midweek, as does Johnson with Kelly still out.

Not sure if starting Carroll will be the right thing to do in this game - people say because Stoke are a tall, physical side we need Carroll in there competing but I'd rather go with our quick passing game that works so well and start Kuyt over him. Can see him starting though, particularly after the whole Capello comments about his character, Kenny will want him to prove the doubters wrong. If he does start it's a big game for him - he needs to show that he can score some goals and contribute to the team play for the price we paid.

Concerned that Downing wasn't in any of the training pictures today because I think we'll need him to provide the width so we don't get sucked into the middle as Stoke are likely to press and squeeze out any space. Hopefully he will start though because he was class for England and has done well for us so far as well bar a goal or assist.

I was at the game. Downing was far from class for England. Sure, he set up Youngs goal but he was up against a championship full back and beat him once all night. No one was class for England on Tuesday.

Have Suarez and Carroll played together? Will be interesting to see how that works.

In Spurs related news, looks like Ledley King is fit and will play against Wolves on Saturday.

    Theyre also missing Jarvis.

O Hara will probably want something to prove to Redknapp or some shit

Everyone else seems to think he had a very good game. England were poor on the whole but Downing was one of the bright players.

Suarez and Carroll haven't played together very often but when they have it hasn't worked so far. Both like to recieve the ball deep which doesn't help.

Very weird news: Gyan is apparently moving to the UAE on loan foor a year. http://www.safc.com/news/20110910/gyan-to-leave-sunderland-for-al-ain_2256213_2446604

He certainly hadn't built upon a bright start but still, surprised they're letting them go. Sunderland are looking pretty poor now to be honest.

Big loss to Sunderland though - Bendtner is extremely hit and miss and Wickham doesn't seem to be a player for the present just yet.

He's obviously worried about being overshadowed by Super Nick. Smile

I saw Bruce going off on one the other day about hangers-on turning Gyan's head and feeding him nonsense about playing for Real Madrid and Bayern and clubs like that, especially after the England-Ghana friendly.

Well at best then it's shocking management from Sunderland, waiting until the end of the transfer market and then letting him go on loan. There's no benefit for them apart from not having to pay his wages.

Arsenal sold Nasri for a large sum. Not really a comparable situation.
