It's the formation we always play
I'm hoping Insua and Lucas surprise me and don't ruin the match for us.

1529: GOAL Newcastle 1-1 Tottenham
Michael Dawson dispossesses Shola Ameobi in the centre circle and prods the ball through for Luca Modric who stays onside before slotting past Heurelho Gomes. Roman Pavlyuchenko was offside as the ball came through, but not Modri
He's so shit he goes in goal for the opposition now?

But, Alonso and Lucas arent a very balanced midfield. And Keane isn't a lone striker by any stretch of the imagination.
It's still way too early (and close) to seriously think City will go down, but they do need to turn it round quickly. This was a massive confidence blow at the start of a heavy load of fixtures.Forza Italia!Forza Milan! wrote:I know I have said this before, but no one thought it was a real possibility. Depends what you define as anchor men. Man U always have their two cms play deeper than the wide players, are they anchormen?

Defensive minded midfielders, such as Mash and Alonso.

No he has played 4-4-2 mostly this season but that hasn't worked either because it puts our only player capable of doing something (gerrard) too deep (when torres is out)
Kuyt and keane are the problem (and it's rafa's fault for buying them). They just are not suited to the roles they have to play when torres is out. They can look good when gerrard and torres are lifting the level of the team but without them our attack just looks ordinary.
