Normally there should be an option to end the deal prematurely if the club wants is that the case.

Don't you think that you're writing him off a bit too early? Kroos' talent is undisputed, what he needs now is an environment where he gets match-practise to gain some experience. The Pillendreher are an excellent choice in this regard.

Could become a win-win situation for all involved. Leverkusen strengthen their side and will probably even challenge Bayern for the title; Kroos can play in one of the most attacking teams of the league; and in two years Bayern will get back an hopefully much matured Kroos who then will be ready to become a starter for them. Very Happy

Rutten and Meyer will be sacked before march, I predict.
Schalke is nothing else but a disgrace. The Schalke players would have the potential to be heavy contenders for the title.
But this team is absolutely rotten.
And Rutten is overstrained. To be fair, none of the managers before Rutten got the team under control.
But Rutten had no experience how to coach a club like Schalke, before he came. In the end, Müller is responsible. You can´t take a Rutten, if your team is so rotten.

Well, if we lose the next home match against Hoffenheim, which is very likely, the situation will become unconfortable for Meyer, too.
Now, he has got the players he wanted and had time to prepare the players during the winter break. But this match against Stuttgart was no progress. We played "Angsthasenfußball". Meyer benched his best player for most of the game.

Quite the contrary. I think he just picked up a minor injury at the wrong time (he was out with a muscle tear a few times).

I don´t say he doesn´t have talent, he´s surely a big talent, but he isn´t nowhere as good as people make him, at least not yet. That why he´s overhyped imo.

And I agree Leverkusen are an excellent choice, even the best choice imo, that´s why I also said that´s an excellent deal for Bayern.

However I wonder which of their own midfielders he might replace in order to become a regular starter for Leverkusen...Vidal? Barnetta?? Rolfes??? Augusto????

Kroos doesn´t strenghten Leverkusen, he just adds some death, at least for the moment. And if Leverkusen really want to challenge Bayern, they should at least be able to beat them once in a while... Laughing

Leverkusen play a sort of diamond formation in midfield. Kroos would here most likely challenge Vidal for a starting spot in the CM. Alternatively, it's also possible for him to play RM and Augusto in the centre.

    @chrissi

Fair enough. I fully agree with you on your first paragraph. Kroos is not yet the supa-dupa world class player some may already see in him. Whether he ever will reach those levels is doubtful too, but he does offer qualities that will strengthen the Pillendreher IMO.

First of all, his set-pieces are one of the best in the league (this is not that difficult though). Above that Leverkusen's finishing is not exactly great (*cough* Dortmund *cough*) and they really could have done with someone who can shoot from distance yesterday.

And yes, it won't be easy to fit him into the current system. While Kroos will bring an added goal threat to their midfield, is he compared to Vidal rather poor defensively. Labbadia will have to find the right balance here, otherwise Rolfes would get overburdened with too much defensive work.

But this is all not too relevant at the moment anyway.Razz Kroos is still in rehabilitation training, so besides a few late subs, I don't expect him to have much of an impact in the Rückrunde.

Boring match so far. Bremen are the dominant team without creating any clear goal scoring opportunities though and like so often conceded one on the counter. Just before half time Almeida scored from a free-kick to make it 1-1.
