Maybe Stuttgart are starting to recover their form. The late winner last week could have done them the world of good and this would be a big win for them if they hold on.

Despite what Wiebke has been saying I think Gomez has done pretty well for a 2nd season syndrome.

Yep, as I said in the same topic I think he has done pretty well. Without his goals Stuttgart would be in a disastrous position now. Does anyone know of a site that has detailed statistics for the Bundesliga? I just want to see how many games Gomez has played in to get his goals, I think today's effort makes him the joint second top scorer in the league, and considering he has scored three in Europe and a few in the cup as well that is a good effort for a young player who has missed quite a few games and who is playing in an under-achieving side.

Frankfurt have scored! This could be a decisive weekend in the title race.

Diego does have a fighting attitude to him but that was just stupid. Have to say though the match is quite rough though.

Bremen fans cant be happy with Borowski he seemed uninterested in the challange which lead to Frankfurts goal. I hope he picks up some form until the Euros.

Yaaaaaaaaay! Good thing we won 3-1, otherwise everyone would have been on our backs about that offside goal (i.e. Hilbert's). This is the kind of reaction from the team I've been waiting for for weeks now. Well done, lads!

Well done on the win Anglo. Four points off the UEFA cup places now isn't it? Still in with a decent chance of that if you can find a decent run of form now. Did you watch any of the game? How did you play? I tried to find a stream but couldn't get anything working for a couple of the games.

I watched the Bundesliga conference at the pub and they basically cut to our game either when someone scored or Mario Gomez was fouled, so I can't really tell you much. From what little I did see, it looked like the players were more determined and focused than in the last few weeks. Someone next to me also commented that our Mexicans being back had made a huge impact in his eyes.

I'm not even considering us getting into any international competition right now--I just want them to play decent football and have a string of successful games. But then again, that's what I said last season and look where we ended up then.

Might have left it a bit too late for a repeat of that!
It's good to see the team winning again though. 6th place should be the minimum aim in the league now, and maybe going far in the cup. Hopefully the side can stay clear of injuries and finish the season strongly.

Hamburg are idiots for complaining about the free throw. Of course, it was the wrong decision but when you see the opponent take the free throw quickly you have to play, not complain.

And the HSV goal was not 'shocking defending'. It was an individual mistake by Lucio. A single bad touch. He just should've passed instead of dribbled. There was no need to dribble at all.

Fair point. I meant it was poor play. With the preceding couple of passes Bayern playing themselves into a spot of difficulty and then it was poor play from Lucio. Not poor defending from Bayern, but a poor mistake that cost them.
