Riera misses a good chance - Torres didn't "pick him out", he played it behind the 1st player (think it was Kuyt)

1541: "You know that Andrea Dossena is Italy's number one left-back, don't you? You do know that?"
BBC Radio 5 Live's Mark Lawrenson
"I'd have thought Fabio Grosso would have to be in a wheelchair for Dossena to be first-choice."
Alan Green's response

good first half, I'm amazed Murray hasn't bumped the 0-0 thread though
the team does look better without Gerrard, Kuyt and Benyanoon are having good games and Riera and Dossena seem to be building a nice understanding.
City should be ahead, Ireland's miss was naughty. We almost need City to take the lead to find a bit more urgency.
I wonder what the possession stats were like in the first 25 minutes, seemed like the only time City had the ball was from goal kicks.

Sickening lack of speed and effort from our midfield today despite the missed chances. Not that I expected anything different
Kuyt is hilarious when he gets the ball near the box

We are so poor in the first half of games at least when it comes to the scoreline. Was a stat on SSN yesterday or day before pointing out we seem to love drawing or coming from behind to win games in the 2nd half. Hoping for that stat to continue.
Benny has been brilliant. Wished he was more in the Gerrard role though then Kuyt.

In the first 20-30 mins Liverpool were all over Man City and should have had at least a goal from that pressure but nothing. After such extensive pressure there is always a period of relaxing and this is when Man City had their break. Great chance created by Ireland who almost finished it off himself. There is a lack of creativity in that midfield it shouldn't stop Liverpool from getting a goal.

When you're alone
And life is making you lonely,
You can always go down down
When you've got worries,
All the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know, down down
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares and go
Down down , things'll be great when you're
Down down , no finer place for sure,
Down down , everything's waiting for you
(Down down)
