We all know where the shots stat came from.

Passing is surprisingly high for Man. Utd. but then you see another stat, which says that the top 5 passers for Man. Utd. were the back 4 and Carrick (and we all know how he played) and it puts a bit of perspective on the pass completion stat.

Possession surprisingly low, but it just proves that Barça played a bit more direct than usual.

Man Utd dominated for 15 minutes after the goal also. This is almost 1/3 of the match. Why do people remember parts of the match different due to what happened next? or people mentally challenged

Yep it can but you didn't do a great job of spinning anything. If Barca were more direct then Barca would have had more shots no? end of teh day Barca were teh better side but one sided is bullshit and false.

Not really, our team doesn't really shoot that much. It's pretty common knowledge even for those who don't watch Barça regularly.

And again, COTR and I already hinted at why Man. Utd's shot count is so high. Doesn't mean they were better as a team

The point was you said Barca were more direct. So unless being more direct is simply running forward then i'd say shooting more comes into it.

Yes, by more direct I meant the team didn't pass around in midfield as much. ie. there was more vertical passing. And Man. Utd. did have more of the ball than our opposition usually do, but did nothing with it.

I meant "better" as in against themselves, not against Barça. You're saying they were closer to Barça than people are saying, I'm saying no, they weren't any closer to Barça than what people are saying. Of course I know that whether they were better than Barça or not is not the question here.

Anyway, tell me, what is the argument? 2 weeks after the final you suddenly wake up and decide you would like to defend your team's honour on an internet forum by using a bunch of stats that don't mean much.
