Re: City open talks to sign Eto'o
From this it sounds like they did meet, but not to talk about Etoo...City trying to "build relationships" with the big boys apparently

Oh well, the Madrid press will have fun with this.

Re: City open talks to sign Eto'o
Eto'o to Man City
Villa to Barca
is it really hard to believe?
Especially if Eto'o does the treble with Barca?
i can't see Inter, Juve and AC Milan trying to sign him
or Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd

Re: City open talks to sign Eto'o
I think Eto'o is a bit agitated by the way Barcelona tried to get rid of him last summer. I don't think he wants Barcelona to make any money off of his sale. So he is just going to be stubborn and wait for a year and then leave for nothing and go wherever he likes.

Usually players do that for a big signing on fee or whatever. But City could just offer him 220k per week or something ridiculous and it wouldn't be worth delaying a year for one of those.
Man City entered the Kaka deal by first talking about a move for Dida and now they have entered this Eto'o deal by first talking of some kind of link up...so it's seems like there is something behind it.

But it's not about the money for Eto'o. He wants to stick it to Barcelona and so I think he's just going to try and be a big a c*nt as possible just to annoy them.

I guess Rosicky meant Barca wouldn't be too fussed of what Ego'o would do if they won the treble.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ego'o try to shaft Barca, though it could well backfire and he may end up with not being to play much next season and go to any good club with good contract. (I'm quite sure he will stay with Barca until he wants to retire to money rich league.)

One can only hope! We have about 15 players we need to get rid of.
City showed themselves to be really classy last time in dealing with Kaka'. After all, Milan "bottled" it according to them. I mean Milan are not used to big player deals at all. City are.
I don't think this will happen because no player wants to move to City until they're in the CL, which does not look like happening for some time.
Yeah thats why we signed Robinho and a number of really good signings like Kompany, De Jong, Given, Bridge etc.

I hope not cos id love to sign him but we will have to see.
Is it the African Nations next season ?
It's in Angola.

Robinho was a one time thing.
The rest are not in the same league as Eto'o.
