Büskens gave a bizarre interview to Kicker saying that he would not really mind managing a youth side

he seems to be afraid that one day his two daughters open up the paper and see the headline "Büskens RAUS", he said

so far , he has done brilliantly, but he may not have to stomach for the rough stuff, of which there is A LOT at Schalke

    ----------

Wolfsburg are richer but Schalke are FAR BIGGER

if he wins the title with Schalke he will become IMMORTAL

    Shocked

Brilliant timing of the news. Doh

I guess, this will very much disturb the peace at Wolfsburg and most likely cost them the Meisterschaft in the end.

Anyway. What's more import: who's the whistleblower?

    Cui bono?

    Bayern or Stuttgart?

    I'd say Hoeneß Very Happy

    cheers Very Happy lol!

yesterday's 5:2 against Inter was pretty much MAGATH's VICTORY

although, kudos to Rangnick for NOT fucking it up Ale

what blows your mind though, is how Magath has managed to built a CL challenging SIDE without ANY mony to spend

    Magath to Schalke F_yikes

we would need chrissi now to tell us how much yesterday's starting 11 cost

but it must have been PEANUTS Yikes

    Neuer: Schalke youth

    Höwedes: Schalke youth

Matip: a kid given his first pro game by Magath

Sarpei: Bundesliga reject revived by Magath

Uchida: unknown Japanese bought for virtually nothing

Papadoupolos: Greek teen brought in for a pittance

Jurado: cost A LOT, over 13 million, me thinks Yikes

Baumjohann: Bayern reject who cost virtually nothing

Farfan: don't know, how much was he ??

Raul: free transfer, widely considered to be PAST IT

Edu: Brazilian nobody, rescued from Korean obscurity by Magath; probably for a pittance

Schmitz: Schalke teenager from own youth

Draxler: Schalke youth, fourth youngest Bundesliga player ever

    Karimi: Iranian retiree

Magath to Schalke F_yikes Magath to Schalke F_biggri Magath to Schalke F_biggri

take Jurado out of this team, and it would have cost NOT MORE than a 2. Bundesliga side

Magath to Schalke F_yikes Magath to Schalke F_yikes Magath to Schalke F_yikes

and most "pundits" would have expected this side to fight vs relegation

    Magath to Schalke F_yikes

if you add Mezte ( on a free transfer)

    KLUGE: another no-name turned SENSATION

the only odd one out (other than Jurado) is Huntelaar , who was quite pricey

but Dutch internationals ALWAYS have high resale values irrespective of performance levels

so no losses were to be expected here

    still

WHICH other manager in the WORLD

could have converted the ABOVE LOT into REAL CL CONTENDERS ?

    cheers cheers

    Magath is a GOD

    cheers cheers

the only thing that makes me a tad nervous is that the players/manager looked positively STUNNED

    AFTER the game

    almost depressed

    http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussball/championsleague/saison2010-2011/viertelfinale/inter-mailand-schalke-04/inter-schalke-nachbericht.html

    Neutral

the return leg could become VERY interesting IF Inter score EARLY

    still

three cheers to arguably the greatest MANAGER in the WORLD right now

    Felix MAGATH

    cheers cheers cheers

    haha

it's also funny to see all those BAYERN fans now congratulating the otherwise HATED Schalke for kicking out the even more HATED Inter

the whole Schweini vs Materrazi saga has left Bayern fans SEEKING revenge via Magath's Schalke

    cheers

    and the funny thing is

Hoeness SACKED Magath and repeatedly BELITTLED Rangnick but greenlit the van Gaal and Klinsi deals

    lol!

good summary, why this is still very much Magath's triumph

Magath to Schalke Empty Re: Magath to Schalke

    Post by Ä Thu Apr 07, 2011 10:42 am

all sorts of interviews with Schalke players do indeed now seem to suggest that Magath has a rather unusual method of

LEADING and interacting with his players Smile

some of the stuff is hard-core MOBBING

the worst hit seems to have been Albert Streit

the lad is now complaining that ALL the players could pick a top of the range VW, as part of the sponsors package

he was the only one who was merely given a choice between picking a Polo and a Golf Laugh

    anyway

my man Jermaine Jones positively HATES Magath

Farfan does not like the disciplinarian either ( when he arrived DAYS late after the summer break, Magath forced him to pay a 100.000 Euro PENALTY, and Farfan still does not really seem to understand what he has done wrong Smile )

Schalke teen Moritz even started to CRY once in the locker-room after a Magath dressing down lol!

and Sarpei / Baumjohann could not believe that they had to train with the AMATEURS

a trick Magath often uses due to his inflated squad and because players come back to the pros wanting to PROVE the worth ( ie , it often works )

( Schweini and Poldi suffered the same fate at Bayern)

a lot of the moaning is that of spoilt rotten millionaire egos

then again, it's obvious the Magath method is also built on fear and HARD CORE /no-nonsense discipline , which clearly is difficult to enforce amongst those narcissists with their supercars

    -----------------

Rangnick would be the RIGHT man at the RIGHT time though

the team is still SUPREMELY fit after the Magath regime

and the relief that Magath has left SHOULD last for a few more months

    -------------------

watch out for this weekend's CRACKER

    Wolfsburg vs Schalke

MANY Schalke players will try to send Magath into the SECOND league by defeating him NOW

COULD become the game of the SEASON Ale

he deserves this respect from the medias, because he has so much achieved

its shameful how schalke players speak out bad comments

All this makes it sound as if Magath was still the manager scratch

and entirely, and conveniently, discounts the line of argument that questions whether Magath would have attacked in that fashion at the San Siro. Doh

Surely there's some truth in both aspects. Meanwhile, and entirely typically, you're so broad-brush and generalistic it's unreal. It's only a question – as ever – of what suits your agenda. Jesus, it's not as if either Magath the man or his footballing style are particularly likeable (that's a bit of a litotes really).

And by the way, "mobbing" doesn't really work in English I don't think – I think you probably mean bullying.

Magath to Schalke Empty Re: Magath to Schalke

    Post by Ä Fri Apr 08, 2011 11:10 am

it's surprising how the media reacted to the Schalke win

MANY hacks insisted that A LOT OF CREDIT still had to go to Magath

he seems to have more support in the media than I thought

the Magath METHOD is based on FEAR and intimidation

players know that the current game can EASILY be their LAST; the day after they could train with the amateurs

when Magath pardons them and brings them back , they FIGHT for the LIVES Laugh

    it WORKS

but the truth is, it's PSYCHO-TERROR

Farfan complaing about Magath and saying he would NEVER have signed an extension with Magath in charge sounds incriminating

    BUT

the Inca was playing BRILLIANTLY under Magath, who had clearly TAMED him

today, Grafite says the Schalke players should show more RESPECT towards Magath

but he as well was RELIEVED when Felix had left Wolfsburg

but then who cares: post-Magath Wolfsburg AND Grafite may have had LOTS of fun, but they were SHITE

Mehmet Scholl recently RAVED about Magath and said that the gaffer was EXACTLY what he needed

and Misimovic would walk over coals to rejoin Felix

Rangnick now benefits from the RELIEF the players feel now that Magath is gone

Edu was back and played like a God

the "new manager" effect was the same as Magath "promoting a player from the bench"

still, the question is how long it will last

either Rangnick ROTATES like Magath did , in which case he uses the same method, but will also alienate many players whose hopes are once again destroyed

or he sticks to the Inter-winners, in which case the benchwarmers will be pissed off

we only have a few more games left, so the "RELIEF" factor might just last

as for Rangnick's tactics being GOOD: we'll see how good there are from now on; the "Magath-is-gone-effect" will have been more important

    ----------------

my slight worry is the sheer DEPRESSION , almost SHOCK, you could see in those Schalke faces AFTER the drubbing

    --------------

some hilarious stuff by DUTCH LEGEND, MULDER

he was so pissed off with Magath, and claims peoples working in the Schalke offices were AS WELL

    that he PLANNED a COUP

    Laugh

    fuck

    Schalke is such a MESS

    CHAOSVEREIN

    that REALLY needs SORTING out

it was a HUGE mistake to sack Magath

then again, Rangnick will be a HARD TASKmaster AS WELL

    -----------------------

    good interview with Hitzelsperger

    http://www.zeit.de/sport/2011-03/interview-hitzlsperger-trainerwechsel-magath?page=1

    about flat-hierachies, FEAR...

    smart boy

    -----------------

    incidentally

Jens Todt, the youth coordinator at Werder ( ? )

said that the % of Abiturienten amongst ACADEMY players was now higher than that in the population

    Yikes

the WHITE kids increasingly tend to be children of University educated parents (Hummels mum is a leading sports journalist, Götze's dad is a professor ...)

whereas the ethnic minority kids still tend to be from less well educated backgrounds

    VERY worrying, me thinks

which also explains the feminisation, Verweichlichung

    Yikes

    good interview with Metzelder

    http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussball/bundesliga/1105/Artikel/christoph-metzelder-fc-schalke-04-japanisch-pokalsieg.html

    Ale

lots of praise for Magath as well

what an exceptional guy he is though

in order to help UCHIDA integrate, Metzelder has started to LEARN Japanese

    Laugh

    --------

Uchida himself has said that he felt sorry for Magath (or rather the way he has been treated)

and Matip has also recently came out in praise of Magath

Dzeko did the same, by the way

calling Magath a BLESSING for Wolfsburg

and OCHS deliberately signed with Wolfsburg so that he could work with Magath

meanwhile, Misimovic is reported to be keen to return to Wolfsburg (under Magath)

otto, you really should have been around in the McCarthy era...
