    fellow Teutons

what do you make of Magath taking over Wolfsburg Question

the guy could have had HSV, Dortmund or Berlin

    bizarre stuff

there are now rumours that he might lure Heldt, the Stuttgart commercial manager, to Wolfsburg

apparently, Stuttgart have still not offered a new contract to the wizard affraid

then we have Lothar, who has just been sacked at Salzburg, because of disagreements with Trappatoni

where should he go next Question

ah, it also seems that Bayern have extended their management team

they are becoming more modern and specialized

    good stuff

Magath - money is the main reason, like always, money and power. VW will pump a lot of cash into the club, they even replaced the board members with well known VW managers. Magath will have a lot of power at the club, basically have full control over the sporting part.
VW finally want to see success, if they are not successful with Magath and their managers in charge, they might lose interest completely, so the risk for the club is quite substantial. While Bayer has relative success with Leverkusen, and recently announced that they will concentrate on football and therefore increase their funding of Bayer04 in future, Wolfsburg was more or less a flop so far.

Heldt - losing him would be awful for Stuttgart, he and Veh have started a promising partnership there that reminds me of Allofs and Schaaf, they even said themselves that Werder is their role model in this respect. Their board would be idiotic to let him go, but I really can't see him move to Wolfsburg either, unless Stuttgart only offers him a ridiculous contract in comparison.

Loddar - will stay in Austria or elsewhere, or join Bayern as their new greenkeeper.

Btw. chrissi, have you read this quite hilarious thread at transfermarkt.de?

The vast majority seems to agree that Matthäus has no chance in hell to manage a Bundesliga club anytime soon, at least not an ambitious one. Very Happy
