Time to start a thread on this one. The competition starts 15 June.

Group A: Sweden, Belarus, Italy & Serbia
Group B: Spain, Germany, England & Finland

Usually this championship is where the stars are found... pls post your teams squads, when they are confirmed. Or the expected starting XIs.

So who will win this one??

Group B looks a pretty tough group

    i think its between

    Italy
    Germany
    Spain

for the championship, in that order, the rest are just there to make up the numbers

I think you under estimate Serbia, they have a very decent U21 side... they will be very hard to beat, and should make the semi's...

It's getting bored to join this tourney after we won it twice in a row.. we indeed give teams like Germany and Belarus also a chance to play in those tourney's...

Hm i havent followed the last games of U21 footy, but after we crumbled into the tournament on the last minute and should have lost against france..i can't see us as favourites.

Spain or Italy i would say.

Our team looks good on paper, especially the midfield.

But I haven´t seen a single good game of our U21 so far.

The fact, that the notorious Hertha-Gang, is reunited is another blow to the team. They have destroyed the team spirit from the beginning.
I wonder how they will affect this years crime statistics in peace loving Sweden.

Well, I personally would put my car into a garage if this team were to reside in my neighbourhood. Wink

Picking so many troublemakers is definitely not without risk for the team spirit. Uncle Horst hopefully knows what he's doing and how to handle them.

But then again, our chances of winning are rather slim anyway. We only have one out-in-out striker in Sandro Wagner who is average at best.

Goal, defence and midfield look solid but without a prolific goalgetter it's unlikely to go far in the tournament.

    Not one Liverpool player?

Can't say I'm overly keen on that midfield, but Noble, Rodwell + Johnson are good talents. Milner, presumably is on the verge of his 100th cap?

Pace, pace, and more pace up front. Little endeavour or ingenuity I feel though.

Have any other squads been announced yet?

Wellbeck is not exactly pace. But he is an idiot so wouldn't say he is going to be that something else either.

    Andrew Driver (Hearts)

Anyone know anything on him? Never heard of..

Pretty decent squad. Plenty of PL regulars there.

    Hart
    Mancienne-Richards-S.Taylor-Gibbs
    Milner-Noble-Rodwell-Johnson
    Agbonlahor-Walcott

Gabby + Walcott is a bit too pace and nothing else - but, even still, teams will struggle against that sort of pace.

No he hasn't, he's been a bit part player. And when he has played its been because of the fact that City's defence is so shit. How anyone doesn't start ahead of Dunne is beyond me.

Mancienne played 8 times for us since January, including against Juventus where he stopped both Del Piero and Nedved over and over again. He also played the entire first half of the season for Wolves, and they wanted to extend his loan.

Remember Punty, Mancienne also was called up to the full squad
