    ok

Especially so for him because while Carew was injured, until we signed Heskey, he was the only striker we used (Fonz & Hare were ignored). He played pretty much every single match all season and was rarely, if ever, subbed. Need to bring in a genuine alternative, as Carew/Heskey should be either/or and neither can really do Gabby's role.

Theo had a quiet season too but isnt a knob from what ive seen.

Thats where ive gone with that ok

Apart from the fact that their similar players yet one scored at over 3 times the rate of the other despite playing in a far less creative side.

That's where I'm going with that. ok

But he did play up front in that less creative side..often as the 1 man up top..so he was likely to have more chances to score. To be fair. Older and more experienced too obviously.

We also know he's apparently burnt out..yet you would further punish him by having him in the squad. No

Rio Ferdinand has withdrawn from the England squad to face Kazakhstan because of injury and Bolton centre-back Gary Cahill has been called up.

Cahill's decent. Not sure he's good enough for international, but he's not far off, say, Upson, who's done well for England recently.

Didn't Upson make a mistake in the Spain game that led to them scoring (from a free-kick). Odd how everyone highlighted Jagielka's mistake.

Criticising Lampard is a 2006-2008 activity. We're currently in a phase of re-evaluation where he's actually seen as a top player. Maybe you're just ahead of the curve for the next period of criticism, which will probably kick in at some point next season (or during England's inevitable WC 2010 failure) Wink

Glen Johnson gives the ball away and as the ball comes in from the Kazakh left, Sergey Ostapenko is fractions away from sticking it in the net after 19 seconds.

Ballack has worked under 4 different managers at Chelsea, and has yet to convince any of them he is good enough to depose of Frank, or that he's as good as you Jarmans seem to think.

    When will you realise:

    a) Ballack isn't that good

    b) Frank isn't that bad
