    Bad debut.

First 10 mintues he was doing really well, then it all went pearshaped.

    Worst Left backs?

Pains me to say it but on his day he is one of the best around.

He hasn't had a pre-season due to Arsenal refusing (and rightfully so) to pick him for friendly matches and the CL qualifying matches.

This season he has played 2 England games and 30 mins of a Premiership match.

It will take him a bit of time to get back to full match fitness.

Chelsea obviously thought he was good - I didn't see them after Lahm and Grosso this summer.

not sure how he did well in the first 10 minutes

he had ACRES of space and did NOTHING with it

which underlines what I have always said about him: he offers nothing up front

problem is he cannot pass or cross for his life either

considering the evidence, we have to say that the crosses/passes that actually find their target are MISHITS

and that boy is insulted about a £55.000 per week salary Shocked

    ==========

brilliant penalty by the ONE though Magic

is he now going to take over penalty responsibilites from fat-boy ???

incidentally, do you thinks Flumps has breast-implants ? He looks like an A-Cup

As were his 2 "assists" v Andorra.

The 1st bounced off his foot and the 2nd was meant for Crouch in the middle but went to Gerrard at the back post.

Unfortunately these 2 "assists" probably fuelled the "Ashley Cole is great going forward" society for the next 5 years.

Even more laughable when you consider that Bridge got 2 assists in 1st 2 games and is one of the best crossers of a ball in the game.

    Typically "Humble" Post Otto.

As Ive said for awhile, Bridge is a better passer and crosser, but Cole is FAR more dynamic, better tackler, quicker, good on the ball,

he's played a handful of games this season. Still, dont let that affect the typically restrained judgements from the so called experts of this board Rolling Eyes Cool

    Advantages of Bridge:

Crossing, defending, better header of the ball, can play in acres of space.

    Advantages of A.Cole:

Quicker, more dynamic (like TRWP said) plus makes those further runs, and needs someone to link up with down the wing.

Which gives us 2 completely different LB (something I like - as this means we can play one of the LB depending on the state of the game)
