    Julio Cesar

    Maicon Samuel Carvalho Santon
    (Zanetti Cordoba Chivu Kolarov)

    Motta Cambiasso Elano
    (Stankovic Yaya Toure Muntari)

    Cassano Milito Eto'o
    (Mancini Balotelli)

A possible Inter squad, based on my preferences among the current rumors, and assuming that Barca would get Ibra and gift us Eto'o and Toure.
Wouldn't be bad at all in the end - maybe the forwards are too light to sustain a 433.

I kind of like him... we're linked to Deco and Melo too and I'd frankly prefer him to them.

Regarding who would start in that hypotetical squad, there could be different options.

You are gonna have to offer big to get Cassano. Cassano and Pazzini is an immense strike force, and no one at the club wants to see it broken. We don't want your offers.

i get the feeling that we won't be making any major signings this summer, just a few players to fill out the squad.

but i would love for us to sign ribery or even ibra, but not to play as a Cf, he would replace henry on the left

I don't understand this...bluenine and a few others have said it too. How the hell is Ibrahimovic a replacement for Henry? Especially when he'll be stuck out on the left scratch The two are nothing like each other. Someone please explain their logic to me, because as far as I can see, Ibrahimovic does not fit at Barça unless the system is changed. And he still wouldn't fit in the dressing room.

I hope we sign two players max tbh.

And apparently MON (is a DISGRACE Grr) is chasing after Jenas as well as the UNIT, Bentley & bent now, he's gonna buy our whole squad at this rate, and Levy will use the money to buy Newcastle and turn them into our northern off-shoot Mega-academy cheers

    Cesar
    Maicon - Samuel - Chivu - Santon
    Cambiasso - Motta
    ?1?
    Ibrahimovic - Milito - ?2?

?1? This could be a player like VDV/Hamsik/Sniejder/etc, Stank will become back up for this role
?2? Hopefully Ribery, but if we get Arnautovic, then he or Balotelli/Quaresma will take turns here...

This is assuming that Ibra and Maicon stay, which is not certain....

To be honest i'd be a lil worried if i were an Inter fan. If you take Zlatan and Maicon out of that 11 it's a little shitty.

Yep players like Samuel, Julio Cesar and Cambiasso are shitty Rolling Eyes

Though you may have a point that there a question marks over the purchase of Milito and Motta.

    @ Blue

Mourinho should stick with 4-3-1-2 and just buy a good playmaker - it's pretty dam obvious in my eyes. Don't see why he wants to try 4-3-3 again.

The team itself without those two is not one you expect to win seria a let alone anything else was my point. And yeah Cambiasso isnt exactly a grand name or player and Samuel well, i guess we'll just disagree there. Soem good players obviously...but hardly an outstanding team at all. Mourinho has never been one for transfers and it could really go wrong here from what i see so far. If those two did leave then they'd need 4 big names to come in at least surely....

I didn't claim it was outstanding, or full of grand names. It was just that you claimed it was "shitty" which is what i would disagree with.

Maicon and Ibra have been the 2 most important players for Inter (though some may argue Cesar is equally important). It's obvious that they would lose alot if these 2 players left. The same can be said of other teams (e.g. what if Man Utd lost Rooney and Ronaldo). I doubt Maicon would leave, but they are well covered at RB with Zanetti and Santon. If Ibra left then Cassano would probably be bought as a replacement.

Will be interesting to see what Mourinho does. He has alot of control of the transfers at Inter unlike some of the previous coaches, and IMO it's risky (see what happened with Lippi). Mourinho's purchases last season were pretty poor. This season he really has to make good purchases otherwise Inter will be caught in Serie A.

As for the CL - they are too functional and need more sources of creativity - not just Ibra.

Lrd, this is Inter, not Milan. If we sell, we will spend it all to buy new players. Yeah, its questionable whether we will spend on the right players, Moratti's track record in that aspect is not very good. But he has broken the world record transfer fee twice, and both time landing top players.

Messi and CR look like untouchable, from a transfer point of view. But then, back in 1997, so did Ronaldo. Anything is possible. If we sell Ibra & Maicon, we will have somewhere inbetween EUR 80-100 Million to spend...

I think this is the good part, we develope a player for 12 m and sold him for 80 m, covers alot doesnt it.
Wouldnt it be exciting hoping for a new Ronaldo/Kaka etc, a new way for the team to play etc etc.

    Lots of positives here.
