Obviously, its still far too early to reach any definitive conclusion on new signings success. Nevertheless, how did your new signings perform?

Thomas Vermaelon: B+. Coped admirably against an Everton side which in theory should be one of the most threatening sides aerially in the league. Despite being nearly half a foot shorter than Fellaini, he was able to win a majority of the headers, timing his jumps very well. Possibly needs to be careful as he may sometimes have been too enthusiastic in the challenge but it was good to see him stamp his authority on the game. On another note, without wishing to get ahead of myself, it would appear likely that his more aggresive style of defending will allow him to form a better partnership with Gallas than was ever managed with Toure, but time will tell.

Ricky Lambert: A. 2 games, 2 goals and it doens't look like he'll ever have any real trouble scoring whatsoever (at least in this league).

Yeates - B+ works hard, tracks back, gets forward as often as he can as a winger should, puts in a decent cross and a good set piece..good strike on him too, with either foot. Cant knock him so far.

Coyne - B+ hasnt had to do much outstanding but 2 clean sheets so far. Could be a bit stronger coming out for crosses though.

Lita - C+ Hasnt had nearly enough time to do anything yet but he's looked lively at least. Just doesnt seem match fit so far.

You know who I like Coops? Rhys Williams. I reckon he'll make it in the Aussie WC 23 squad.

    ok

I'd have him as our biggest revelation this season, but not a new signing obviously.

He is good though. Looks very assured considering he's only just broke through. Him and Digard(If the fucker can stay fit) could be a great pairing in this league. Williams is like Carrick if Carrick was able to go forward more cheers

    Bassong: A+ Magic

He played with maturity, poise and intelligence, didn't give Torres a sniff & capped off his performance with a towering header for the winner.

Crouchinho - not much to say really, though his team-mates must start ignoring that he's an 8 foot freak, and play it to his feet.
