A bit of a guess, our first team is not as obvious as Barca's so some of these guys may end up in the first team down the line. But judging by Pellegrini's selections in pre-season thats the second team.

This is clearly Inter's strength, the depth in the squad... I would expect our second team to make the CL, maybe even give our first team a run for the title... its almost as good as the first team:
    Toldo
    Zanetti - Cordoba - Materazzi - Chivu
    Vieira - Muntari
    Balotelli --------------- Mancini
    Arnautovic - Suazo

    Assuming the first team is:
    Cesar
    Maicon - Samuel - Lucio - Santon
    Cambiasso - Motta
    Quaresma ------------ Stankovic
    Milito - Eto'o

Puyol is in your second XI scratch

    Or is there 2 Puyols?

This team would probably be capable of getting in the top half of the table, particularly as we would still have some decent players on the bench.

Much as you dislike Carragher, there's no way he's 3rd choice CB..

    Surely you'd have Benayoun too?

Benayoun starts more often than he sits on the bench

It's Carra, Skrtel or Agger and Carra is in my reserve team. He has even resorted to taking out his own players to keep his place.

It was definitely self defence. Skrtel refused to give him control of the back 4.

No, he is shite. He gets injured while walking his dog FFS. I know he was always a hot prospect but that never came out. Bar being a bad defender who is quite injury prone; he also gets way too many cards.

He shaves his head to look more tough, but I always knew he acted that, especially I bumped into him once on a night out, he was drinking cosmopolitans!

6th is too high for that team toon, and puyol shouldn't be in our 2nd XI.

replacing Puyol with henrique are whoever we buy, we should finish about 10th/11th.

well, I just put Puyol in the second XI since we don't have any other back-up RB. And if we put Puyol in the first XI, our first choice CB pairing would then be Milito/Marquez.

And maybe not 6th but 7th then. Does that team have less quality than Deportivo?

Decent Team. Altho I would have Pavlyuchenko as my 1st teamer along side Defoe.

Edit: I think it this team could finish anywhere in between 16th to 10th.

An excellent goal scorer against Cardiff, Hull, Burnley, Sheff Utd and Everton (if they are already 5-0 down).

Not much of an all round game for me either and the money could have been spent more wisely.

Is Sheffield suggesting Denilson has a starting place ahead of Nasri? Laughing

Eduardo is excellent in my estimation. Pierre has stated reasons before, and I think in time will be proven wrong.

I think he is joking. Nasri and Rosicky will battle it out for the other place in midfield when fit with Denilson being dropped.

Leave Pierre. Eduardo has hardly played any games against the top sides. His off the ball movement is brilliant and I expect him to score a lot of goals this season providing he stays fit.

I just selected an XI from the players who didn't start on Saturday. I really didn't put too much thought or effort into it.

Obviously Eduardo isn't up to the standards of an Ellington or a Darius Henderson, but I suppose we would be able to make do with him if all the others got injured. Rolling Eyes
