Denilson vs Lucas

Yes, i'm bored today.

Both of these players have been derided greatly by their fans in past seasons. Denilson for doing very little and Lucas for doing very little apart from fouling.

This season, Denilson's performances have been met with an air of "oh, that wasn't too bad" whereas Lucas still infruriates Liverpool fans, mainly due to the slightly unfortunate fact that he isn't Xabi Alonso.
Despite protests from certain people, neither if these two players are probably top 4 quality but which of these unbrazillian brazillians do you rate higher?

Definitely Denilson...he looks the most talented of the 3 right now. I think the only reason he gets criticism is because Wenger's stupid philosophy means he's getting too much playing time and the pressure of a starting spot too early in his career.

Anderson and Denilson could function. think they might have a future in Brazil NT. Lucas, unless he shows a sign of improvement, is incompatible and an excess (perhaps even a disaster) to a functioning midfield.

Anderson has many qualities im not sure why people laugh at him if he could score he'd be a very great player. He does not score but he doesn't score for the other team either

Anderson doesn't look half the player he was in his Porto days. Wrong career choice, moved way too soon.

He just hasnt found the right position. I think he'll turn out a great player he just needs maybe a year soemwhere else

Lucas is in the Liverpool team by mistake, Denilson is being picked on merit. I don't think either of them are any good but Denilson is unquestionably in better form.

I agree, but since I am in Anderson camp, I still think he will have the best career out of this 3. Of course I have no idea on which position and in which system he will finally shine...

Lucas

Out of the three players, Denilson is clearly the best at the moment. Stats aren't everything but Denilson had a very productive season last year.

Out of the three Anderson was really the only one I'd heard of before they came to the EPL, and he has disappointed me the most. Can't score, can't pass, can't tackle, seems to tire during games.

Not sure what Lucas' role on a pitch is supposed to be, but it obviously isn't working anyway. Watched him against Villa last night, and along with the rest of the Pool side he looked absolutely horrific.

Denilson seems to keep possession quite well, and atleast does the basics right without ever doing anything really spectacular. Has also shown he can pop up with the odd goal.

All of them are young and can obviously improve, but atm Anderson doesn't look good value for money at £18m.

But Defoe is average

The claim to be the worst of the worst, or the best of the worst depending on how you look at it

Lucas takes the former, Anderson the latter while Denilson is stuck right in the middle void of averageness

I think we've got the best midfield ever.

Denilson and Song are both Rijkaard + Matthäus rolled into one.

Oh and I think Southampton FC will cease to exist in the next 5 years.

With regards to your other point which you appear to have on auto repeat, I don't believe Glenn Johnson has had a bad start to the season do you ? The yanks haven't given him any money this summer as promised (yet) so again his only signings have been Aquilani and Johnson with Alonso and Arbeloa's money. I don't think we are in a position to judge the success of this after three games. Maybe you do
