Scotland have to win it to make it even more painful for their fans when they eventually don't go through.

Re: Scotland v Holland 9/09/09
We have to beat Macedonia on Saturday first, which we probably won't, considering that Iceland are the only team we have scored against so far.

Apparently even if Scotland win the two next games, it still probably won't be good enough.

Re: Scotland v Holland 9/09/09
I think 2 wins might just be enough for playoff spot.
But Scotland won't win twice.
John Carew will lead Norway to 2nd.

There could be some interesting playoffs. Portugal, France, Germany...

Re: Scotland v Holland 9/09/09
Portugal have got 2 games yet to play against Hungary, who are in 2nd. Would not be at all surprised to see them win both and take the spot, however poor they've been so far.
Assuming Russia win their 2 games this week, it's a direct play-off in Moscow where winner takes top spot. I know Germany always qualify with ease, but it's nice to imagine they'll fuck it up once

Even if Scotland win, only the best 8 runners-up will go to the play-offs! No idea if Scotland is with those 8 though.

Imagine a Germany-France play-off! Its still possible! Anyway, its gonna be very hard for Scotland to achieve that, since the others all have some more games to play!

Knowing Germany, if they do finish 2nd, they'll draw Latvia.

Yeah, Germany would most likely draw them yes.
Ireland vs N-Ireland would also be tasty! Shame they cant present a united Ireland team.

Re: Scotland v Holland 9/09/09
Sons of Scotland,
Gordon is out for the match I heard, that is a wee bit dissapointing! But the famous Scotish fightingspirit + the hell of Hamden will make up for that I guess! On paper you might me outnumbered, but so was William Wallace when he fought against the English tyranny!
You have everything in your own hands, dont let it slip away.
Good luck

Not even face paint and cries of "FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM!" are going to save the Sweaties.
4-0 to the Oranges.
Wesley "Oompah Loompah" Schneider to bag a brace,
Kuyt from 3 yards off his arse,
Robin Van Persie 30 yard slalom run and cool finish, then quickly back to the team hotel for a spot of rape

I odn't know the line up, but I don't think Holland will lose this one. It have to take a lot of cock ups for us to lose this one. That, or Babel starting.Super Granero wrote:How serious do you think Holland will take this game because I think I will put money on Holland. It's on teletext, they are usually right. Holland will take it quite serious, cause another win will Holland put in pot 1 for the draw. Only 4 European countries will get into pot 1.
