whats pigclimbers best position? Empty whats pigclimbers best position?

Post by Kroos Tue Sep 08, 2009 11:55 pm

i dont see a future for him in munich or die Mannschaft on the wings or behind the strikers, the only position i can see him as starter in the future is a pirlo - role, in front of the defence, and with another DM on his side

this guy can play any position in the midfield, but he never delivers something you could say he makes a team stronger

schweini cant dribble, has no pace with the ball, so his limited for attacking action, and we see that since years now, 2-3 stunning games in a year not enough

so whats his best positon for the future

Özil, Marin and gebhard will be to good for him, so he must change his game, he should work on his tackling and defensive abilitys

Definitely. Schweinsteiger's image abroad is considerably better. But there is good reason to be critical, he has been stagnating for a while now. His inconsistency in particular is a problem and simply not acceptable for a player of his age (25) and with his experience.

You often get the impression that he needs a kick in the arse to perform. In that sense, the increased competition in München will probably be good for him. But moving abroad, or just away from the notorious München nightlife, would do him good also.

As far as his best position is concerned: Schweini is a #8, hence is at his best when he can play in the centre. As one of the #8s in the current 4-3-3 system of Bayern, he can show his full potential, at least in theory. Against Wolfsburg, in reality also, he was really good. Formation against Wolfsburg:

it is no wonder the Germans do not rate Schweinbaiseur

Just look at the way all the German threads are organised

there's one for the man shafters

there's one for the boy shafters

all laid out neatly in a row

    efficiency

Schweinbaiseur is not a natural German, that is why he is not rated so highly by the Germans, and why many other nations have a soft spot for him

when robbery is injured, our team is only the half worth, and schweini is not creative or skillfull enough to make an huge impact in the attack

to rely on him makes me feel sick

for die Mannschaft its differnt, Özil has shown the whole season that he is in that position a class of his own, and with the 4-2-3-1 system there is only the wing/left/right midfield for him, and he is useless in all that positions

when özil joins bayern in the near future whats pigclimbers best position? Icon_wink his time is over

What? Laughing An England matchday thread easily surpasses 50 pages in a day or two, that's what the Mannschaft thread needs a year for.

What else is there to discuss during the international break anyway? Yes, I'm actually glad to have a break from club football, especially after that long and relatively annoying transfer season. Nothing bores me as much as transfer talk these days.

Well me personally i'd prefer to talk about who fucking fc zurich varslab are looking to sign, rather than hear in 20 threads how fuck great Germany is and a bunch of players ive never ever heard of and probably wont ever again outside of this forum are going to take the world by storm.

Thing is even in an england match thread you have diff views, diff ideas and you know ....that makes sense. But these threads are simply Germany is great, or even if they're not about Germany it turns into Germany or how Germany and Holland did this in some match 1846. Neutral

it's not a question of his best position

rather of whether he feel VALUED

Schweini is EXCELLENT when Ribery is not on the pitch

Schweini is also EXCELLENT when he wears the captains armband

you want to get the most out of Schweini , you can play him in any of 3 to 4 positions

most importanly, GET RID OF RIBERY, and NOW, also Robben

since this is unlikely to happen, transfer the boy to AC or Inter where, as a high profile signing, he would THRIVE

Has he ever been used in a 2 man midfield?

He was, e.g. against Wales in the Euro 2008 qualification, which was one of his best matches ever for the national team. But he simply is too inconsistent, it's a general problem of his, no matter on what position he plays. He was excellent on the RM position in the 4-2-3-1 system last year, in the knock-out stages of Euro 2008, for example. But he had loads and loads of crap matches on basically every position he played also.

Still, IMHO, he can be at his best when he's played centrally. While he is solid defensively and has a good work rate, it's a bit risky to play him in a 2 man midfield IMHO, at least against strong opposition. The 4-3-3 Bayern now play, three man midfield without a #10, is more or less ideal for him, as explained earlier.

Schweinsteiger was heavily criticised by the German press in the last few days. But he simply lacks critical self-reflection and stubbornly refused to admit that he has been playing shit. He has to be kicked in the arse constantly, the pampering needs to stop. In very near future, if it hasn't started already, the competition for the starting places in the national team will be much tougher. If he doesn't change his attitude, he will become a bench warmer, both for Bayern and the national team.

    In response to the question:

Schweini was a decent player, no more.

A poor man's Beckham on and off the pitch.

    To use an analogy:

when Schweini started sporting a blonde mohican 2 years after Beckham

and poncing around on the right wing for Germany bedecked in the number 7 shirt,

it was clear he was not taking his football seriously.

I was impressed with him against Portugal in the most recent tournament, aswell as in the 3rd place play off against the same side in 2006,

but you can't play Portugal every weekend Bastian.

It's no loss though: the Endless Conveyorbelt will find an adequate replacement ; few tears will be shed by supporters of the Mann Shaft,
