Big game for us (Pauli) tonight, hopefully will be the confirmation of the fanfreundschaft that has been brewing between the two clubs. Just hope whoever of us wins goes on to stuff H$V in the next round!

Two "surprises": Trier (Mario Basler is the coach) killing Bielefeld and Duisburg winning in Mönchengladbach

Hertha are losing 0-2 already and look like continuing their woeful start to the season. Does anyone think Favre will be able to turn things around, or will they struggle all season?

edit: Hertha fans owe me a beer. I write the team off and they get two goals in two minutes!

Maybe I should do the same for Stuttgart seeing as they've already gone behind against Lübeck.

1860 win on penalties. They took theirs very well, Hertha on the other hand had a couple of poor efforts.

Bremen beat St Pauli and Frankfurt edged a thriller 6-4 against Aachen. Stuttgart and Leverkusen are still losing against lowly opposition, and Köln are winning two-one against Wolfsburg, Dzeko with a nicely taken goal to pull one back. Hamburg are now losing to Osnabrück.

Could be the night of the big surprises

Leverkusen now losing by two. Scrappy goal from a free-kick, the player almost walked the ball into the net.

Hehe, Osnabrück now 2-0 up. The Köln game looks good, they went 3-1 up, but Wolfsburg scored again immediately after the restart.

Schieber equalises for Stuttgart with a good low effort from the edge of the box. Looks like a bobble may have taken it over the hand of the goalkeeper.

And now Hamburg score courtesy of another fine long range strike from Petric. 2-1 in their game.

Perhaps not. Cacau gets another for Stuttgart, but Hamburg have conceded again, it's 3-3 there with minutes remaining.

Hamburg are out! Petric misses the deciding penalty! So we've had a few shocks today - a good round of cup fixtures.

Yeah, best set of games i've seen for a while.

Koeln vs Wolfsburg was very very exciting, especially the last ten minutes - better team won in the end though. Watched most of the konferenz just to see the Pauli/Werder game and was impressed by how well Pauli played, they can hold their heads high and hopefully go into the next lg round playing with confidence on the back of this.

Also, watching H$V go out made my night

Does anyone know what the fighting amontgst the Pauli fans was? I think it might have been with the police, certainly did'nt look like any Werder fans were involved.

Nothing special, an unscious girl caused some trouble, stadium guards couldnt calm down a mob and the police went in with spray and clubs. That didnt do it as they get provoked by fans and so it got a bit havier then it could have been.
