Belgium - turkey was a great game. It's a pity these two great teams are not at the world cup. The advocaat-effect was immediatly noticable. The little generals first game broke a 5 games in a row of losses.

Well done belgium and haagse dickie dick cheers

I'm more than 110% convinced both teams would walk the south american qualifications if they were from that continent Ale

    Lets see:

    Seeded
    Russia
    France
    Portugal
    Greece/swiss

    Unseeded
    Bosnia-Herzegowina
    Slovakia or slowenia
    Ireland
    Ukraine

Bosnia probably the hardest unseeded, others should normally be easily doable for the big 3 seeded teams

Yeah I know, but Malta can't score a goal on the rainbow without a goalie, and they let in goals for free. My team (bunch of amateurs) would probably beat Malta through sheer superior technique. <Ale>

Should be hard either way for egypt. Hope they make it though.

I think it is goal difference. Egypt lost points to Zambia in Cairo - a bad result and lost 3-1 to Algeria in Algeria. The decider is in Cairo next month. Hope they make it, but Africa has woken up to them, so they can't sail under radars any more. Will pity if they don't make it, but will be their own fault. It was a group they should have won.

Not disputing that, but the African champions were shit hot at ACN and should have gone on from there. They have great players as well, but world woke up and that affected their preparation. At ACN virtually all of them played in Egypt and the coach had full support of Egyptian FA - he got training camps when he wanted them - Egyptian league would be shut down to accommodate his needs. That can't happen as players capitalised on their success and went abroad. It had an effect. World Cup will be poorer without them as in Africa they are a damn good side. Qualification places shits on Africa. 5 is not enough. At leat some African second place teams should have a chance of play-offs as well.
