EB World Class Squad 2009

Its time to do this poll again. Same rules - name your World squad of 23 players, with the following break-up:

3 Goal Keepers
7 Defenders
7 Midfielders
6 Strikers

The idea is that if you were the coach of the "World" now, which players would you pick... Assume everyone is fit. The further break up into CBs, FBs, DMs, wingers, etc is completely up to you.

We will use the results to come up with the EB World Class squad of 23 at the end of it, just like we did in 2007.

My Squad (might make a change or two after thinking some more):

GKs: Buffon, Cesar, Cassillas
Defenders: Samuel, Nesta, Vidic, Carvalho, Maicon, Evra, Alves, Chivu
Midfielders: Mascherano, Essien, Cambiasso, Xavi, Kaka, Ribery, Gerrard
Strikers: Ibrahimovic, Drogba, Messi, C Ronaldo, Eto'o, Rooney

Edit: Vidic OUT, Chivu IN.

Chivu can be the back up for Evra, and even Essien when required, that goes in his favour.

Based on this season, not sure Carvalho or Vidic should be in a team like this!

Yeah, I know... but I am not entirely basing it on this season... if I pick a squad, I want proven quality in it, not just peak form. That said, I am not sure between Vidic/Chivu/Chiellini - might change it to the other two as they are also useful FBs.
