True enough - Rooney has yet to use his obvious talent to win much of significance. One league cup and a FifPro young player of the year award isn't much.

I particularly liked the fact that Keane likened his managerial career to Rooney's playing career. He's a smart man, Roy Keane. Much smarter than most footballers/managers.

The thing about the mobile numbers is hilarious.

Once when Gary Neville changed his mobile number and sent a text to everyone to inform them, Keane sent one back saying, "why do I want your fucking number" Laugh

While the new Black Cats boss has praised David Beckham for his immaculate conduct over the years, he is critical of fellow England star Michael Owen for his decision to do an interview after a serious injury last December.

"There's loads of people who get sucked in," Keane explained.

"Michael Owen always springs to mind. The day after Owen broke his foot, he's doing an article and I'm thinking 'Work on your recovery, man'."

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What an idiot! He had to wait a while for the swelling to go down for christ sake, he's hardly likely to go for a jog is he?! Rolling Eyes

Keane should shut his face on such matters. ok

Keane is a legend tho', and what ever he says (most of the time) is right, just read his comments about Roo, hes not pussy footing around, hes getting straight to the point, where as some English fans would be in denial.

According to the version I've heard (if you Google 'Gary Neville phonecall' you should get a dozen links, and Park has provided one anyway), Gary Neville's mobile number was leaked by the son of Tony Adams to a bunch of schoolmates and, predictably, Neville got a load of prank calls as a result. The recording is of an irate Neville laying into some poor 13 year old kid who phoned him up for a laugh, and when Neville asks the kid who gave out the number in the first place, the kid replies 'Tony Adams son', to which Neville replies, hilariously, 'Who is Tony Adams?'. The kid, trying to contain his laughter, says 'you know, England defender, played for Arsenal?'

Good old Gary, can't even remember the big lad next to him in England's back four for about 3 years, who is also the club captain of Man U's biggest rivals of that period.

Apart from the Owen issue where he obviously didn't know what he was talking about. ok

I agree with him about Rooney but then he was just stating the obvious.
