Rubin Kazan forward Alejandro Dominguez claims he is on the verge of completing a move to Primera Division outfit Valencia.
The Argentinian was the stand-out performer in the Russian side's eye-catching effort in this season's Champions League, when they took four points off Barcelona and also drew with Inter Milan before ultimately being forced to settle for third place in Group F.
But they will have to take on the Europa League without Dominguez, who had long planned to leave when his contract expires later this month.
"My move to Valencia is almost complete. I have pushed to complete it now because I want to play football in Spain and dream of having [David] Villa and [David] Silva as team-mates," he told superdeporte.es.
"It is true that Rubin offered to extend my contract for another season and that is a gesture that I valued greatly, they have always been great to me.''
The 28-year-old, who scored spectacular goals against Dynamo Kiev and Inter in his side's opening two Champions League games, is reported to have turned down moves to Roma and Juventus in favour of his preferred destination in Spain.
Super Deporte claim his three-and-a-half-year deal will be worth 1.5 million euros per season, with a signing-on fee of 2 million euros.

Good deal for Valencia on this one. If he delivers right away they have a replacement for Silva who they can then sell on for big money.
