This is dismal though and shows no real sign of improvement - he needs to go and let the Murdoch group get the 4-4-2, its all about Stevie G and Torres man that they want.

Dismal this season but great performance overall - hope he gets one of the top jobs in Spain.

He has had an excellent 4 or 5 years since he joined us but this team is dead and the only way to fix it is to get rid of his favourite players which is obviously never going to happen

How on earth can you say Alonso was not that important. He dictated everything we did and was our best player last season.

Instead we add another non creative player to the mix in Lucas which only exposes the lack of creativity in the rest of the midfield with Kuyt suffering the most because the pressure is now on him to actually do something other than run up and down the right wing as many times as possible.

As soon as Alonso was sold I said in the Real thread our season was over and it has been proven correct although I did expect it to be this depressing.
