Sturridge scored today. He is a great prospect IMO. He will become a damn good player if things turn his way. He plays for Chelsea already. Already one over Nile Ranger. Laugh We will see about him. ok

Wilshere is a very good prospect. But I'm yet to be convinced of him being successful at this level..

This is the problem with being a keeper, there can be only one, and they rarely get injured. And when your number 1 keeps making great saves and keeps alot of clean sheets it's a problem. He's too loyal for his own good, he's had plenty of opportunity to leave.

I follow football Kimmy, of course I know the Geordie version of Neil Mellor.

Ever team has a Calvin Zola, when I was little it was Robbie Fowler, then it was Steve McManaman, Michael Owen and Steven Gerrard. Then came Neil Mellor, John Welsh, Paul Anderson and Jay Spearing. We all hype them because we want them to succeed. But for every Robbie Fowler there are 10 Neil Mellors and for every Alan Shearer there are 25 Andy Carrolls. When you get to the level that Ramsey is at, you stop being a myth and move into the Gerrard, Owen, Fowler territory.

I don't think Zola was even at Neil Mellor level, he never played for us. And to be fair i don't think Carroll has ever been hyped, not by Newcastle fans anyway. He's a bit like Peter Ramage, yes he has come through the youth team, but he's clearly not that good.

Agree with mostly everyone here, Ramsey looks like an excellent player. Will ease the pain for Arsenal tactically and emotionally when Cesc leaves this summer Very Happy

Bit unfortunate yet predictable to see West Ham eventually lose. They were putting in a huge physical effort and doing a good job of shutting down Arsenal's play...yet they got more and more nervous in the 2nd half, playing too deep as the commentator said.

If they had someone better and more decisive (probably more experienced) than Nouble up front, it could have been over by the 60th minute. When he had a shooting chance, he'd dither on the ball. When he had a passing chance, he'd dither on the ball. When he had a chance to run/dribble...yep, he'd dither on the ball.
    Diamanti looks excellent though.
West Ham need to get some new owners in that can provide some funds to Zola and support him...this short-passing-with-lots-of-movement style that he's implemented will be very successful with some better players. It's just a matter of time before a bigger club comes in for him.

Strange that you singled out Nouble for dithering on the ball Kas, all WHU attacking players seemed to be at it. Diamanti blows hot and cold at a ridiculous rate, and he was the biggest culprit of the lot for me. There were at least 3 times on the break where the forward pass wasn't on and he still tried to create something that wasn't there (mostly by dribbling into trouble) instead of just shooting.

From the Guardian's minute-by-minute commentary on WHam v Arsenal

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jan/03/fa-cup-west-ham-arsenal

46 min: Frank Nouble latches on to a throughball and shanks it harmlessly wide from about 20 yards. ITV co-commentator Jim Beglin remarks that the West Ham striker is "awkward at getting into position and can't quite sort his feet out". In other words, he's Carlton Cole in disguise.

bt he also caused the most danger fr hammers. scored the goal, tested the gk, and set up chances for his teammates.
