Portsmouth seemed to have given up, they got a free kick, everyone went forward but it was wasted, everyone stayed forward (because they have given up) some scrappy play resulted in a tame cross to no one, two Coventry players jumped for it and Wright headed past his own keeper

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round
just watched the last 10 minutes of Coventry vs Pompey, Coventry leading 1-0 until the 90th minute when Coventry score an own goal. Looks like extra time if anyone fancies some awful football.

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round
oops
Ah well, Fabio it is then. If Glenaldinho is unavailable then I expect another start for young Darby.
Meanwhile, Benitez will be without Albert Riera, Martin Kelly and Nabil El Zhar for the Reading game.
And the Liverpool manager has yet to put a timescale on Glen Johnson's return from a knee injury.
"I was watching him yesterday and he seems okay. It's a question of time. He's progressing but we have to wait," he said.

Man, we must be the unluckiest team. Our squad's been injury prone four several years, finances in the toilet, then when it looks like a good offer is coming in, the CEO heading the operation dies.

Seriously, when will West Ham fans stop fucking moaning about injuries. It's a broken record that's been playing for the past few years now. We know you have lots of injuries, you signed a bunch of injury prone players FFS.

A goal in the 90th minute then again in the 120th minute?
Must be fixed

Dreadful miss from Rasiak. The commentators seem to think that Carragher intentionally missed the cross, but it looked like he just got his bearings all wrong.

Another great chance for Reading, but after a fine break Church fails to make contact with the ball from six yards out.
edit: Sounds like Torres is going to come off with an injury. Ngog is warming up.

The wing play of Yossi cutting in from the left into 19 players in the middle of the pitch and Kuyt's every touch turning every attack to shit is yet again a joy to watch.
Fair play to Rafa for correcting this obvious fault after it has failed for so long

Fortunate goal for Liverpool on the stroke of half time. Own goal from a low Gerrard cross. Harsh on Reading who have given a good account of themselves.

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round
I long for the day Lucas and Kuyt are not permanent fixtures in this Liverpool team. One Lucas pass straight into touch was particularly ridiculous, although the most memorable moment of the half was Carra choosing not once but twice in the space of 20 seconds to ignore a simple pass to Aquilani to start an attack in favour of his weapon of choice, the Hooooooffffff.

Only teams like Pool score goals like that, it bounces off Gerrards shin into the danger area, then takes a massive deflection into the net. It was like fucking pinball.

At least we now have a winger on the pitch capable of actually running at a defender.
