    lol!

Word has it that Nigel Pearson (who dat? scratch )- Ñol says they're mates from a while back in Newcastle-, asked my man Solano to take them to the Promised Land. Ñol told him, "WE ARE THERE NEXT SEASON".

How'bout that Kimbo bro! Biggrin <Ale>

    Next game:

    Cardiff City - Leicester City

Solano to spray his balls all over Cardiff's defense. Watch him lead the orchestra, Kimbo bro, from central midfield. Whoop

Nigel Pearson was our assistant manager under Roeder and then Allardyce, and was our caretaker manager for a game or two when those managers departed. I don't think we (if I can speak in the name of Newcastle fans in general) held him in particularly high regard by the time he left us, because he seemed to get on well with Allardyce who most fans thoroughly disliked, and he sometimes seemed a bit aloof regarding our failures on the pitch. However, he's doing a good job with Leicester and has more of a footballing sense than I envisaged.

I think both Kimbo and I would have happily seen Solano back at Newcastle, at least to provide options and backup. I think we both realise that he is going to be a better player, even at his age, than Nicky Butt; for my part, I imagine he is still a better player than all of our midfielders bar Guthrie and Gutierrez.

He gives options because he can play anywhere down the right hand side and, like you say Puro, I think he will also be able to do a job in the Championship spreading balls around from the centre of the pitch. There isn't a lot of quality in the Championship, but more, teams don't particularly press the opposition - players get a lot of time on the ball in the league, and as long as he has the runners round him, I think Solano will do well for Leicester.

Nigel Pearson is one of the most promising young English managers around at the moment.

    Saved us from relegation
Not only took up Leicester at the first attempt but as champions
Immediately making a challenge for a second successive promotion.

Brilliant manager that I was gutted to lose as a Saints fan and who I wish all the very best. Very possibly destined for great great things as a gaffer Smile

    Yo Leicester City supporters! Biggrin
Looks like it's gonna be Solano, Newcastle, and West Brom in the EPL next season.

The manager wants to keep things tight in defense playing Ñol there and just win 1-0. What a waste of talent! Solano can create 2 to 3 goals per game IF he plays in midfield. Looks like he wants to pitch shutouts with Solano organizing his defense and just win with a Nobby free kick.

Solano cost Leicester a point last night with a last minute blunder but I won't take the piss 'cos it will probably be one of his free-kicks that relegates us in a few weeks time <Ale> Biggrin

I didn't watch the game, but it looks like poor management and here's why. Ñol can't play full games anylonger. Reynoso (Universitario's coach) did an excellent job managing Solano: at the beginning of the season, he named him starter, BUT let him play for 65m to 75m max, never started him after only three days rest. Towards the end of the season, he used Solano as a super sub bringing him to the game with about 35m left.

Looks like his Leicester coach didn't have any options to replace Ñol and played him starter again after THREE DAYS REST! Shocked

Now like the cowards that some managers in the EPL (Fat Sam, Steve Bruce, Harry Redknapp, Tony Pulis) are, he's probably gonna make Ñol a scapegoat for losing to the hot-streaking Reading team.

What do all these managers have in common one wonders? Whistle

When over-the-hill Nol plays a whole game and is shite, it's poor management.

When over-the-hill Beckham plays a whole game and is shite, it's cos he is English and shite

Are you noticing a theme here Puro?

Doh If Pearson is so shit why are Leicester heading for the playoffs?

The fact is this is a 24 team league, not a 16 team league like in Peru, and there are alot of games close together, if Nobby can't handle that then he shouldn't have come here looking for a club. Perhaps he should've stayed in the little leagues down Mexico way, in Peru.

Anyway he is actually getting good reviews from Leicester fans, so ranting against Pearson is a bit premature.
