    AGAIN

    nothing new here, I know

still, even the most deluded Arsenal fans are beginning to see light where they only saw darkness

we all know about Henry's borderline love-affair with the pure genius of the GIANT; in interviews he always talks about how "without Lehmann, we would have been slaughtered"...

now Cashley said something similar in his ridiculous autobiography where he slated virtually everybody at the club

" Without Henry and Lehmann we would have been lost last season"

coming from a man who thinks he is the incarnation of Jesus, that ain't too shabby

the GIANT , of course, has also now extended his own record of CL action without conceding a goal, even if he ultimatively was defeated by HSV in the last minutes

he is now the BEST CL KEEPER OF ALL TIME

    statistically

enjoy it whilst it lasts; the GIANT has already announced that he cannot wait to play in the Bundesliga next season

maybe Arsenal should then get Robinson, who, according to Hansen, is really already World Class Smile

I watchted the last 15 minutes of the Arsenal game

the first time this season I have caught some EPL action

the GIANT was like a ROCK battered by the sea

well, admittedly a very tame sea, that carressed the rock rather than battered it, but that's ManU for you in a nutshell

I hope he goes to a club like Berlin next year , where his expertise will help build something big

to think that Wenger effectively tried to sack Lehmann, saying : " I can fully understand if you are not happy sitting on the bench watching Alumina's antics; I promise, we will not stand in your way if you want to leave"

    brilliant, what a manager

Arsenal fans should build the GIANT a monument for standing by them in times of need and putting them onto the international football map Exclamation

Great Keeper. But ask yourself this: What is the first word that pops into your head when asked to describe Lehmann?

For Germans, and possibly Arsenal fans, it MAY be "Top Keeper".

For the rest of us, and probably a fairly big number of Germans (re Kahn V Lehmann debacle), it would have to be "utter nob"

Say it all about his reputation: despite how good he is, and he is VERY good - (although some could argue its about time as he's 37 and a full DECADE older than Robinson, the man you make comparison with) - he is such an abrasive character that people struggle to see it. Shame

Otto, I think Wenger dropping Lehmann for a spell was the best thing that happened to him that season. He came back with much more focus and determination and has been magnificent since. He needed the shock of being dropped because before that he was making a lot of careless mistakes.

Lehmann sucks and should go back to that crappy third tier league named Bundesliga.

And what a cheat he is, as could be seen again today! Only due to his mischievous Germanic voodoo tricks Rooney had a bad match today. Promotion to agent 012 still has to wait...

look chaps, JENS the GIANT is a GENIUS, hence his nickname

    JENIUS

when Whinger benched him the entire German football establishment thought and SAID that MADNESS was at work

Klinsmann, Hitzfeld and Harald Schumancher who were all closely observing his progress at Arsenil all said

" Sporting reasons have nothing to do with benching the GIANT; SOMETHING personal must have happened we are not aware of"

Sheffield Gunner is typical for all those UNGRATEFUL Arsenal fans who do not deserve the JENIUS

    HE IS WASTED ON YOU

get Robinson and you have a bona-fide world-class keeper and then talk up his antics as

"not his fault: the ground/ball was slippery, his vision impaired, silly deflection, temporary blindness induced by the harsh London sunshine, ..."

the GIANT will get a hero's welcome in Germany where is he VERY popular now

and Arsenil will become an also-ran club in the ever so exciting EPL

but don't worry, the fight for UEFA places will keep you on tenterhooks

Otto, I have always been a fan of Lehmann. Even when he was getting slated by everyone in his first couple of seasons I insisted that he was one of the best keepers around. I honestly think that his standards slipped before Wenger dropped him and that the decision to drop him was designed to motivate him. I think it succeeded, and since he returned to the team he has performed consistently at a higher level than he did before.

What game were you watching? I saw a very even game of few chances. Ronaldo's volley, Saha's header and Solksjaer's shot were as good as any of the chances Arsenal created, including the one by which they scored (nice goal - good pass, good movement, good finish).

BTW the ball was on the line

Bull. However, it was a clear penalty but Toure should have been sent off for a stupid, high, late challenge. Well, perhaps not.

I did enjoy it today, because it was a good game. As I dont' support United (unlike the people I watched it with), the result matters little to me. I was entertained, I saw some moments of excellent play from both teams, I was excited by Ronaldo and Fabregas (we're lucky to have those two, easily the best youngsters from their respective countries, here in the EPL) and all in all I had a good time. Would I have preferred a different result? Yes, but Southampton won again and are up to fourth, and that means more to me than Man U...

In retrospect, you are right I guess.

You have to remember that otto loves Lehmann with a passion. I seriously believe that he is his favourite player, nominating him as No.1 goalie for Germany was the only decision otto has ever praised Klinsmann for. He is a bit sensitive when it comes to this fella, guess that he simply can't forgive Wenger for that, even if it was the right choice for the club, and for him (in retrospect).
