    yes i have seen the Nike advert (van der Sar is under pressure) -- its a nickname, doesn't mean he is Pele just like Cruijff was called by the Barcelona fans El Salvador...

    Erm, he'll still be with the Nationalmannschaft till after the Euros in 2008, according to this, which is kinda a bigger issue – hardly "Lehmann to retire". Had me nervous there!

    Would have thought Arsène would be making plans to replace a 37-year-old anyway, even if he is still at the top of his profession...

    Exactly, Allez got it right. According to various German press, Lehmann is going to retire from professional football, both the Mannschaft and club football, after the 2008 EC.
