your title bid is collapsing in front of your eyes
you need more composure at the back and all the experience you can get
and
you have the best goalie in the world on the bench
you do the maths

SUCH IS HIS CLASS AND EXPERIENCE

in view of the almost ridiculous wealth of goalie options in Germany now (Hildebrand is now enot even amongst the top 4 these days and Neuer, a BArca target, and Adler, the best Bundesliga keeper now, are not seriously considered for Germany either)
the mind boggles how Wenger can pick a Spanish waiter over an all-time legend (best CL-clean-sheet-record)
hence
Arsenal's self inflicted decline
Not our performances but with Frey in the team we would be top of the league. Our GK could have saved us about 8 points even though they only directly lost about 4. Its the difference between WC and not.Rosicky wrote:Our problems are have F all to do with Almunia...

he scored the header above in the 90th minute for Schalke against ARCH-ENEMY Dortmund
Buffon, Cech or Cassillas would NEVER be able to pull that off
for they are GLUED TO THEIR LINE
imagine if Robinson scored the winner in the 90th minute against Arsenal
or
Scotland , for that matter
Spuds or England fans would build him a memorial the size of Trafalgar Sq
yet
Jens does it, and it means NOTHING
Lehmann's greatest mistake was the he EVER joined Arsenal
he should have gone to Barca or Real
L r d wrote:God, imagine he had of went to Real instead of Arsenal
We would have been subjected to endless threads for the past 3 years about how Real are fools for not starting him ahead of the OVERATED Casillas.
He would have never been num 1 at 2006 WC. Never had a great cl for you to bang on about.
Would have been an even bigger nobody than he is now.
JENS will be remembered for what he is, a clown
Darling wrote:you lot are an anti-Jens sect

it's no longer funny
you are worse than the Chinese government who call the Dalai Lama a terrorist
I know I will never convince you of the blatently obvious
you are a lost cause
just one thought to those of you still not quite sure
why would Loew, the Germany manager, whose only aim is to win the European Cup, why would he not even select THIS legend for the squad
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY-0xuJ0edM&feature=related
and pick Jens who has ZERO match practice
well, I guess he and goalie coach Koepke (the legend of 1996) know a lot about the art of keeping a clean sheet and winning than most of you EVER will

True, Alumnia could have done better with that. But he was in goal and not Jens. End of. Character keepers are also prone to f@cking up spectacularly - Paris, Stade de France, May 17 2006. Though the ref could have allowed Giuly's goal and not sent off Jens.
Anyway, I'm not sure why I'm going on here as I have no issues with Jens per se, as I said. It's just that he's not part of our future anymore.

you have collectively written off Jens for whatever reasons
and that's it
what a scandalous treatment of the man he got you into the CL final and who assured your unbeaten EPL title win when you had a bunch of kids in defense
NEVER has a LEGEND been discarded with less grace
possibly the darkest chapter in the German-English relationship after World War 2
