Sven seems to have landed on his feet after leaving Notts County by getting that job, from League Two to World Cup in the space of a few months is nice work. Ivory Coast have some great players in their squad, the likes of Drogba, Toure and Kalou, but Eriksson will need to show all his tactical genius to get them out of a group which contains Brazil and Portugal - two of the favourites in the World Cup betting odds. If you believe what you read, Gus Hiidink was the man the Ivory Coast really wanted to Sven was a little bit of a back-up plan, but it will be interesting to see if the Swede can still cut it at the top level of international management.
