Liverpool fans… which is the lesser evil?

Penultimate game of the season V Chelsea at Anfield.

If you win you get 4th but Utd win the league, equalling your record of 19 titles.

If you lose you don’t finish in the CL spots but Utd don’t win the title.

Which would you prefer?

United are already level, if they win this season it's 19-18

Getting 4th is much more important than rivalries

Man City v Man Utd
Man Utd v Tottenham

are up first so we're relying on Man Utd winning these games for the Chelsea game to matter.

4th every time. We're out of it now though so by that time all Liverpool fans will be hoping for a Chelsea win

But yes, i agree that 4th is more important for you but hopefully it wont come to this. Certainly in this time of financial uncertainty.

I would have expected all fans to make Champions League qualification the priority. True United would go ahead in the titles won stakes, but failure to get top four could see big players leave and Liverpool crippled for years to come.
