Any that you're particularly looking forward to seeing?

    For me;

    Nicolas Lodeiro
    Ozil
    Subotic
    Gourcuff
    Hamsik
    Alexis Sanchez
    Kwadwo Asamoah
    Higuain
    Pato (if he goes)
    Pastore (ditto)

Sure they'll be one or two who I'm not yet aware of who may surprise as well.

Messi - he'll have such huge expectation on his shoulders but I firmly believe he'll stand up and be counted. It's always a pleasure to watch him play though isn't it?

Milan Jovanovic - I want to see if he's fit to play in a reds shirt Smile

    Malouda

Pedro (if he goes, which IMO he should)

You might get your wish...apart from his indirect assist yesterday for Pedro's goal, there's also this in Sid Lowe's latest column:

Vicente del Bosque was in Getafe to see them beat Villarreal 3-0 and to see Diego López gift the first goal; the campaign for Valdés to make the Spanish squad gathers pace. How nice it must be to have a furious debate over the third-choice keeper. Some can't even chose a first-choice one. Or a striker.

    "Indirect assist" lol!

You mean "punt that went to far and was poorly cleared by Aranzubia"?

    cheers

No surprise that Sid Lowe is leading the campaign for VALDES SELECCION. Doh Anyhow, De Gea has a better chance of going than Valdes. Ale

Of course! Valdes is so good at kicking that he fully intended for the ball to bounce in such a confusing manner that Aranzubia had no option but to mis-kick it.

True about De Gea...or maybe Palop, he seems to have disappeared off the Spanish NT radar now that Sevilla's form is crap.

Its not only sid a lot of other writers, see that VV is the best keeper in spain.

How much longer can Spain's coach Vicente del Bosque resist the claims of Victor Valdes?

The Barcelona goalkeeper again had an outstanding game, stopping everything that came his way, even if some of the Real efforts were rather tame.

Valdes has only conceded 19 goals this season, admittedly helped by some improved defending over last year, but against Real he demonstrated that he is certainly the best goalkeeper in Spain on current form. He may even be the best goalkeeper in Europe at the moment.

Del Bosque was watching the game from the director's box and is unlikely to ditch Real's Iker Casillas as his first-choice keeper with the World Cup so close to hand but even the Madrid-based media were agreeing on Sunday that the time has come to give Valdes his long-overdue first cap.

Gourcuff has always been terrible for NT (much rather Malouda with the kind of form he is in). Apart from maybe few random instances. Lower your expectations.

Ribery has been crap for a while apart from few moments too.

Benzema hasn't settled in at all..

    Henry is a pensioner.

Anelka is also in terrible form for chelsea offlate

Without Gallas, our defence is in tatters

Lloris is the only French player to look upto. Also perhaps Toulalan (if Lass is played next to him in a defensive 4-2-3-1, I will throw up. No, I will actually get .44 magnum and shoot Domenech point blank)

I look forward to seeing Ronaldo and Nani in the same team.
I look forward to seeing Nani destroy Brazil
I look forward to seeing Di Maria out perform Messi
I look forward to seeing Rooney crush some balls
I look forward to seeing who the hell Hernades is
I look forward to seeing Suarez show how overated he is
Ozil is an interesting one he's talented and looks very good but is so ungerman that he'll ruin their team should he play.
    Klaer also
But Lennon i hope if he's fit as well.

Di Maria is getting outperformed by bunch of players in Benfica week after week and he is doubt to start for Argentina NT. But then maradona has done crazier stuff...
Nani was in Salgado's back-pocket against mighty Blackburn.. Would love to see him getting buttfucked by Maicon cheers

Di Maria is their most valuable asset and has even scored a hat trick in a match ffs...he always starts for Argentina in the last year so not sure what you're on about.

Nani had Salgado all over the place just he had nothing to work with.

Think it was around when i asked you something about Benfica and you said ''I don't know i don't watch them ever''

What i do know is Cardoza Aimar Garcia? Saviola are not outperforming him so you're probably talking out of your ass whether it's intentional is up for debate.

Against liverpool, he looked absolutely wank and was nowhere to be seen. you could ask pool fans how threatening he was, or if at all they remembered him. He was benched and Reyes outperformed him the previous season..

Missed the second game but saw the first he was pretty damn good...believe he hit the post. The second game was 3 days after another game in the league which i believe he scored in not surprised he was a bit off and needed a rest.

Not sure what Reyes or last year has to do with anything....anyway lets leave it there you're clearly not talking from a knowledge point of view.

Chevanton - no chance of going.

Its hard to find out about his injury as he doesn't have a high profile now (if he ever did) but going off after 30 mins the other week and the missing the next 3 doesn't sound good for a man who is playing catchup on the other strikers as it is.

    For comedy purposes:

Bendtner, Walcott, Henry, Chris Killen and Frank "central midfielder" Lampard.

    Under close scrutiny: Messi, Kaka
