I was watching him last night and his movement is non existent.
I don't see how if can work with Barcelona's attack which is comprised of small, quick players who run into space, play short one-twos - it's also why Eto'o worked so well for them, as he had the energy and work rate to make space for himself.
If they are going to insist on playing with a bigger guy upfront, they need someone with more pace and stamina.
He's not done too badly in La Liga in terms of finishing, but up against the top defences in the World he has yet to prove he can really cut it
Someone like Milito or even Aliadebayor would have been a better option.
I'm still yet to be fully convinced by him.
I don't know about Milito but Adebayor would actually have made quite a bit of sense. The only reason I thought it was stupid at the time was he would have had a huge price tag.

I don't think that was completely true. From what I remember Zlatan ran a bit more then Valdes in that game but if you look at Valdes' running in Arsenal then yes he ran more the Zlatan.

Not convinced. I remember Henry scoring a beauty at the Bernabeu to knock out Real Madrid in the quarters (?) not so long ago. Hat trick at Roma, hat trick at the San Siro - admittedly in the group stages, but the kind of feats in the CL that Ibra has yet to match
Yeh like you said, round of 16 and group stages, not really big games. His record in semi finals and finals is terrible, especially when you take into account that he's played with some of the most creative players of the last generation.
Contrary to popularly belief Zlatans best chance to make his mark was for Inter because they played a system that suited him. The problem there was that he had nobody else who had any creativity or even great players to pass to. In Serie A Inter could steamroll the teams and Zlatan didn't struggle as much but in Europe their team got exposed for lack of the athletic ability(compard to England) and most certainly their lack of any creative players. He just isn't quite suited for the top game.
If he was a battering ram who was creative then he would be a force but he is a SS who is big and strong.
