Don't understand the criticism. Well actually I do, he hasn't taken your favourite player so he is a nutcase.
Would like a team from a continent other than Europe and South America to do well.

I'd love to cheer for them but it hurts too much
Mind you, Lugano is cool as fuck so I might still support them.
Japan, Italy, Greece and Serbia I suppose.

Noah, you don't even see your bias. The above may represent consistent behaviour, but still very much blinded by bias.
Different countries & different cultures have a different interpretation of sporting or unsporting behaviour. Until you appreciate that, you will always be full of bias and not even realise it.
For example, in UK its considered very unsporting if a player asks the referee to show a card to another... even if it is rightly a card. So much so that you have a problem with Batistuta nodding his head. Also in UK, its considered ok to continue play sometimes if a player of opposition is down, specially when you think its just timewasting... it happens so often in EPL...
In Italy, its exactly the opposite. If you think its a red card foul, its considered ok to ask the referee... its never a controversy like its in UK. However, if a player of opposition is down (and many times its quite clear that the player is fine and is probably just timewasting), it is considered very unsporting if you do not kick the ball out of play - no matter what advantageous position you got...
There is no right or wrong here. But you ve to appreciate different cultures and judge them by their own yardstick... You cannot judge the italians from an englishman's eyes and think its not biased just coz you apply the same rules to your own players. If you do that, like you are doing above, you are being very biased.
